Wow you guys...I'm not so worried about the plane anymore. ( I'm 171 cm, which I THINK is 5'7?) And everyones got such different stories I guess I'm going to have to just risk it and stand in line and find out. Ughhh....Cant they make the damn things bigger! Most of the population is overweight anyway! I remember last time I went to sixflags I was around 240-250....and I did fit but it was a tight squeeze and the stares made me so uncomfortable.
Cinerbelle My god...I dont know what I Would of done in that situation. Thank god it's over. And I pray you get approved for your WLS. I know how you feel. I remember, and this has stayed with me forever, Going to a fancy restaurant with my father and brothers (My father has ALWAYS been embarrassed by my weight.) I didnt have the confidence I have now and I remember seeing all the women in their little black dresses and feeling huge. And if thats not enough, About 5 minutes into the dinner my chair broke. The leg came right off, And I remember being so embarrassed that I actually sat there for about 20 more min trying to balance the chair on 3 legs so My father, and everyone around, wouldnt see how the fat woman broke her chair. Finally my brother noticed and pointed it out, and just remembering the look on my fathers face...in his eyes..And everyone around giggling....It was humiliating.
God.
I cheated today and had about a cup of tuna noodle casserole. Its my first cheat since surgery and man do I feel guilty. Remembering that story...I'm newly motivated.
I dont know if i could get down to 250 by sept 1, since I know I fit at that weight, but Im going to damn well try.
Have fun Jeanie, And thank you so much for keeping your eyes open for me! Let me know if you see any fat people riding! I'm going to be going to six flags though, Never been to magic mountian.
All of you losers should be so proud of yourselves.
Well.....Off to the gym!! I love you all!!!!!

I would take my sad plane trip over your broken chair any day. That sounds HORRIBLE. I think you should go on your trip and have the time of your life knowing you have already made the commitment to lose the weight...WHO CARES WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS!

I have a tip for fitting in coasters that have lap bars.

If it stops on your thighs and won't "click," try crossing your ankles and flexing your knees out (sort of semi "Indian-style").

Default Ah, the resturant stories...

I recall vividy going out to Olive garden with my family. We were chatting and ordering the food. The waitress had the nerve to ask, "Are you ordering for two tonight?" Everyone gasped. There was an uncomfortable silence. I responded.," I'm not pregnant." She blushed real deep, stuttered "I'm sorry" and took my order. Needless to say, she didn't get a tip. I got a few of those pregnancy comments and people wanting to feel the baby kick. That's another crazy thing, when people think you're pregnant, they all think they are allowed to touch you.

Also recall breaking the toilet seat at work. Another time, I sat on a toilet at McDonalds and the whole thing came apart from the wall!

Thumbs up Roller Coasters

OK so all the rides that I went on I didn't see any kind of restiction, and let me tell you there was some big people there, and they all got on the rides with no problem. There is one ride Batman (I think) that you can't be more than 48 inches around. I saw a lady that couldn't go on it. I felt so bad for her I totally knew how she felt while they were trying to make her fit, but then told her she had to get off. I wanted to cry for her. Other than that it was AWESOME!! If go to MM you have to ride X. It's the best roller coaster I have been on. It's all backwords, and your spinning all over the place. At one point (or maybe two ) You are looking at the ground hanging upside down. It was FUN!!!!

Ok Six Flags... well now I dont know which one youre goin to but I live near 6Flags over Georgia... the last time I went there I was probablly a size 22 or 24 and BARELY fit in the rides, most of them I didnt fit. I figured out tho since I have a big butt and my stomach isnt AS big, that I can fit in the ones that have the overhead thing that comes down and snaps better than the ones like the Scream Machine and the Cyclone that have a seat divider for 2 people. Those squish my butt in and I havent been able to fit those for a long time now. If you are goin to 6 flags in georgia, I would go for the Scorcher and the Batman. Those would probablly be your best bets. But Im not sure how well youre goin to fit, I havent tried this summer... Im scared to! haha Good luck tho girl! Maybe youll have lost more weight by the time you go... Good luck, youre doin great tho, dont give up!

I also flew in an airplane at 350 and it wasn't too bad.

I was pinched by the bar in one of the coasters at Magic Mountain, but I was too embarrassed to tell anyone, so I cried all the way through it, and never attempted again. I barely fit in anything, I was 246 pounds, but was a five by five for sure. It all depends on your structure I guess. I did fit in the plane, but I couldn't breathe, and I doubt I could have taken it for too long, it was on a short flight from Los Angeles to San Francisco. I also had a hard time fitting in booths, and the chairs in the RN program.

You are taller though, and you will lose more by then, so quit worrying, and if you have to, you will just have to buy an extra ticket for the plane, and wait a couple months for the rides, it will all work out sweet heart, and you will see that you have dropped drastically by then.

Default Weighty matters.

120 was my goal, and that's the weight I'm at. I'll be lighter once all the swelling from my TT is gone, since 7 lbs of skin was removed.
