Well, as some of you might have read a few posts ago, I wanted a crab cake. Well, I went to BJ's and bought a box of the good lump crabmeat ones (frozen).
I opened the package and saw they looked tiny. I made one,a nd ate the whole thing. It sat fine until 1/2 hour later, I had a sip of cryatal lite. Bummer. it came back up. I made another note to self. Note to self: If it looks small enough, cut it in half, and that's the right size.
Tonight I made 2 sea scallops, and ate 1/2 of one. My hubby got the other 1-1/2. I am glad he will eat anything.

So hard to do the eating without having anything to drink! I didn't think it would be so hard!! Also how do you make 1/2 a scallop last 20 minutes???

Paula, wait till you go out to eat..

It's a little harder.. Specially that I'm still 350lbs. and they look at me eating a small amount of food. I've had many waitresses come up and ask if the food was ok or not.

Yeah, I actually am not looking forward to going out to eat. My plan is to order something and take it home. Yes, I am sure I am going to get a waitress that asks if the food was ok, I get that any time before when I would ask for a box when I was dieting in the past. I am hoping we go out to places that have a "to go" option, I might just ask for my meal to go!
I don't want to limit myself to the crappy kids menu. I don't think appetizer choices are that much better, usually they are breaded or cheezy.

I am super thrilled for you that you are down to 350! that's AWESOME!!
It's time for you to add a picture. Does your wife post on here too? How is she doing?
I am crawling, but still losing. I am down 27 lbs. I am absolutely thrilled that they will never be back!
good bye nasty pounds!

Default stuff

Yesterday was a rough food day for me. Stuff that normally stays down if I eat it right did not. I ended up having 1 sundae cone w/o the ice cream and 1 protein bar. Nothing else would stay down. I didn't even get all my water in.
Eating is a pain in the neck. I still eat too fast is my biggest problem. It smells and tastes good, then just nibble? Overall I continue to lose but it seems to drop then stay, drop then stay. Last thing for now, I have been spotting or really bleeding (clots too) off and on practically since surgery. Before, I was lucky to get a period every six months. Once it was two years. So now what?

Yeah I need to add a picture. I'll have to work on that. But my wife does post on here just not often. And she's also doing great. I think she lost 105+ lbs. and she looks great.

One thing I do if eat safe foods when we go out. Make sure it's something I don't have problems with. I usually order fish cause I know I do well with it. And another thing my wife and I will do is I'll order a dinner and she'll order an appetizer and we'll just share. And that always saves us a few bucks on the bill.

So just figure out your safe foods and when it's time to go out, stick to them..

We got out kind of a lot, though not as often as we used to before my surgery. What I usually do is order something I'm pretty sure I can tolerate and get a box and take at least half of it home with me for later. Sometimes I just get something small like a cup of soup or a side salad. The server will usually ask me if I'm sure that's all I want, and I just say yes, thank you. Or when I don't eat that much they will ask if they food is all right, and I just say it's fine, thanks.

welcome back Mike!!! We thought we scared you and Gene away with out "monthly visitor" talk. We missed you guys!

On a side note- I was reading a post that the Senior members here are upset about what the newbies are eating and our attitudes towards losing weight- This is a generalization but I don't want this to be any of us! Lets show them June is the best month and of course so we can be proud of ourselves and get healthy!! I agree with a lot of what they are saying- I guess a lot of newbies are eating cookies and asking when they can have brownies and eating pizza and french fries! Yikes! We are all entitled to mistakes but not slipping up that bad I hope!

If you guys want to read the post it is called "I am not liking what I see" I found it to be a good read as I dont want to make a mistake nor do I want to get into that mind frame of "when can I have something bad for me". I know all of us want this to work for us and we all have a great attitude- its just a good reminder and never hurts to hear things once twice or even every day for the rest of our lives
