Hey girl, last week I had gained about 3-4 pounds and got really pissed off. Turned out it was because of womenly problems. I finally lost those 3 and am back to what I was a week ago. Stalls suck! Trust me, it will break, just give it some time. Stay off the scale too

Thanks everyone for your responses. I feel so much better.
I am going to put my scale away and not use it anymore. I have a 2-month follow up with my surgeon in 3 weeks. I am not going to weigh myself until that morning (so I can compare my scale to his scale)
My clothes are getting bigger for me, at least there is that. I can fit into size 18's at Old Navy now.
I had sent an email to my nutritionist this morning, and she called me this afternoon. She said I was doing just fine, that I am right on track. She also told me to make sure I am getting in at least 800 calories/day. How weird that everyone's programs recommend different things, isn't it? I wish there were universal guidelines!

In maintenance... now I'm yo-yoing up and down 10 lbs or so. I'm trying to find out how to stay at a set weight, it's rough.

dude youre doing great! youve done great on your weightloss! dont worry about slowing down some... at least then itll give your skin time to shrink with you and you wont have loose skin! :-d (yeah i have to remember that myself, cuz i didnt lose any weight this week and kinda panicked until a few people reminded me of the loose skin)

Ok so i havent been told anything about keeping track of my calorie intake... i totally havent been doing that! i havent seen a nutritionist yet, but in a week or 2 i have an appointment with my doc and im gonna see the nutritionist that day. so hopefully i'll know a little more then! do protein shakes help with weightloss or do they just keep you from getting weak or whatever? oh and when yall talk about how many ounces you eat and all... how do you know how many ounces it is? my mom doesnt cook anymore so we always eat out, so i guess its kinda hard to know. anyone know like by comparison about how much all this is? thanks much. and tiffany, keep your head up girl, youre doin awesome!

It sure is...in sweden the minimum intake is about 900 calories just to make the body to function. Then more calories if you also excercise (1500-1800)

Thumbs up I agree with Bridget

I have had two weeks where I went up and down but never moved more than 3 pounds either way. Then one day I just drop five pounds. I don't try to understand it anymore, I just trust my body. I have noticed that extra carbs tend to slow me down or stop the weight loss, but that might just be me.

Good luck, you are doing great,

Davey

I'm still pre-op, so I can't offer much advice. I just wanted to say that it sounds like you are doing just fine. Hang in there......it'll happen!
