Have you had some broth or even cream soup yet. Your body need some nourishment.

I was at 5 days when I added cream soup and yogurt to my food. It made a HUGE difference for me because I was really weak before that. Each doctor has a different meal plan for his/her patients and I am not sure what yours allows but I would check if I were you.

I felt pretty light headed for a couple of weeks even after I started on cream soups. Try to take it easy! It may not help much but try some chicken or beef broth or a s/f popscile just for a little change. Cream soups will be right around the corner. I suggest Cream of Chicken Verde. It's a little spicy but it bets plain old cream of chicken. They have several different flavors of cream of chicken now and I also liked broccoli cheese soup.

I couldn't wait to get off the broth or the cream soups. cream of chicken made me dump real bad. When I had my TT they wanted me to eat broth. I swore off broth as soon as I was taken off of it. I ate a complete turkey dinner 3 hours after my TT and I felt fine. You will learn as you go what you can eat and when. Unfortunately part of learning may be dumping.

I was feeling lightheaded for a few days after post-op as well, come to find out, I was dehydrated. I was admitted back into the hospital with an IV pushing liquids for 24+ hours. I don't like giving medical advice to people because I'm no Doctor, but I'm sure it's safe to say.....Drink (sip) plenty of H2O !!!!!!!

I hope you feel better.

I was told by Dr. Potts that light headedness is most likely from lack of water intake. Try drinking more fluids and see if it works for you.

I suffer from this from time to time. When I look back, I always see that it's from lack of water intake.

Good luck!

One morning I got up and felt dizzy and lightheaded. I immediately ate a jello and drank some water. Not a great breakfast but after a short nap I felt fine again.

I was also light-headed and dizzy from lack of B1 Thiamine. Once I started on it as a supplement, I improved a lot.
