Becareful with the pain and vomiting, you could be having strictures. That is a narrowing of the opening to your pouch and they would do an edg and dialtion it will get better. I still have some problems with the same as you but as time goes by it gets better.

Call your doc. I had to have my opening widen with the EGD and that did the trick for me.

Try other things to eat. I've gone through the same thing and just have to switch up what I try to eat.

Maybe what your eating is a little dry? Try some moister foods and see how that is.

Or take smaller bites and chew longer. If it doesn't resolve, contact your doc. A common complication is the aforementioned stricture.

Default Talked to PCP

and she told me I don't have an ulcer in my esophogus, but that I had a stricture and had to have it dialated. She said it's common, and could happen again and let her know if I start to have the same problems. I won't go into what nurse ratchett said.. that's a whole new discussion. Suzy

Default SHOULD I be worried, too?

I'm only 2 weeks post op but pureed foods *seem* to stick. I can eat tomato soup type items with no problems but if I eat pureed carrots, etc., it seems to stick after two tiny bites. I then stop and the sensation goes away in 5 to 10 minues but by then I don't want anymore to eat becaue I dread having the same feeling again.

What is the difference between sticking and being full? I have to admit, while I know I'm not hungry, I haven't really felt the sensation of being full after eating either. Do the sensations of being hungry or full come with time?

Default not at 2 weeks

Everything is swollen in there.. give it time to heal. When you say sticking.. do you feel intense nausea when the food goes down, if the answer is no then you are probably not having it "stick" Suzy
