Thumbs up 3 months post-op

Today I feel so much better, I really think things are going to start looking up for the better. I am actually able to eat food and keep it down now. Although I have a problem with breads making me sick. So no biggie I will stear clear of that kind of stuff. I was so excited the other day I had Water Melon and ya know what?? It was even better than I remembered and the best part it didn't make me sick. it is a slow recovery but in due time everything will be a memory and everything will be good!!!!

I can't wait till Wednesday when I go back to chicago, the doctor is going to remove my central line, although it has been my source of life for a week or two I am ready to live with the living......

Today I registered for school. I took my entrance exam and passed it woohoo... anyway I will be taking the Medical Assistant Class it is a 9 month class and then next year I am moving on to nursing. I can't believe it I have fineally come to terms with life and what I want to do with it..... after all life is what we make of it. I am just happy that everything is fineally going my way

That is such good news to hear that you decided to go ahead with school. You sound like you are feeling 100% better and that is awesome to hear!

Thumbs up Great News

I'm so thrilled you're feeling better! We've all been really worried about you. You've had quite a bumpy ride and you're certainly overdue for good times. Being able to eat and keep foods down are HUGE steps for you.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you will continue to improve. I hope you will start really enjoying your journey and see the wonderful side of WLS soon.

Best wishes to you, sweetie. You certainly deserve it!

I'm so glad you are getting on with your life. Don't be afraid to go for what you want. Your roadblocks can't last forever and soon you will be "normal".

I took the Medical Assistant class in 1990, it is hard work and fast paced. I memorized 20 words a night. Good luck there. Love you.

Traci,
Back in 1991 I took the Emergency Medical Technician class, passes it with a "B" and was going to go onto nursing then but because of a nasty bitter divorce my kids needed me at home more than I needed to be in school. Now they are grown and it is time that this young momma of two teens (actually one adult child and one young teen) realizes her dream. I am very fortunate that my husband stands beside me and supports me in what ever I do in life, he is a wonderful man. big hugs sue
