I'm trying to type soon after taking a Lortab
Thank you Kim for keeping people in the loop. I wasn't sure if I made any sense on the phone. I was quite loopy with the dilaudid.
I'm home now. I needed 4 units of blood transfused. I ended up at Scripps ER. It was a mess getting over there. The Scripps nurses had no clue what was needed to be done to care for a post-op bypass and reconsctructive surgery patient. I had to remind each nurse that I had a full 360 incision and to not pull on the sheets until I lifted my butt. Then, I was served regular jello and juice. I had to remind them I've had bypass surgery and needed a diabetic diet. Then they brought broth. Couldn't have that since I'm on a 1 gram sodium restriction. I basiclly had nothing but water from thurs until I got home last night.
Anyway, my hubby has really stepped up to the base to help me out. He made me homemade beef vegatable soup with only a pinch of sodium. He's been getting up every 2 hours to help me walk.
The surgery itself went smoothly. I had such tight muscles underneath the skin that I didn't need any of it tighented up. Muscle involvement hurts more. I've seen the photos they took just afterwards. I have a flat tummy and naturally looking boobs. There's even a picture where they stretched out the skin to remove. It was a swatch of skin over 10 inches long all the way around
My tat is back in place. I feel quite taut. I'm high on Lortab

I feel 100 % better today. It's like hell week all over again. Of course I'm bloated up like a dead whale at the moment.
I'll keep you all informed
BTW, I just weighed myself. I've reatained 16 lbs of fluid
