Is that what you eat for breakfast Laura, I can now move to bars. I'm six weeks out today. I had a bad time with the shakes, It took me all day to get them down, so nasty.I'm hoping the bars are a little better.

Yes I have a EAS bar for breakfast almost every day or I have an egg. I like the peanut butter crunch it has 20 grams of protein. I also like the hazel nut achieve one coffee drink but I have to order more.

Arrow Protein

I have to confess that I was never able to tolerate protein bars or shakes. It might have been a mental block, but I just couldn't do it. I had a really bad experience very early post-op with some powdered protein in eggs--I got sooooo sick! That pretty much took care of protein powder for me. And, whenever I tried any protein bar, it dropped like a rock in my stomach. So I gave up and started tracking my food on fitday.com. I've been incorporating my protein in my food since almost the first week and I've never had a problem. My opinion is to do whatever works for you.

I got mine at BJ's . I think if you go to the website you can get a free pass! They also have the Atkins bars and a bunch of others but I went for the ones with the most protein and someone here had reccomended the EAS as far as taste and digesting well.

The only protein bar I can eat are the Snickers Marathon Bars that I picked up for .39 a piece! I bought 4 boxes...There's real chocolate on them...so if you don't want to do that...then the bars are prolly not an option for anyone. I eat 2 a day sometimes and that's 40g of protein....I really have to cut back though cause I lose too much (3-4lbs a night!) when I eat them...go figure...I dont find them heavy at all like other types of protein bars....chewy, but not like a brick

Never in my life did I think the more I ate, the more i'd lose...my metobolism is through the roof now.

I found a really good bar at Henry's yesterday. It is called an energy bar and the one I got is made from mixed nuts and held together with some kind of sweet stuff. It was 9grams protein and 8grams of sugar. I was a little worried about the sugar but I was OK with it. That is the most sugar I've eaten since surgery.
I will find out the name and mfg. as soon as I locate the empty wrapper
