Default sleeping...

Oh yes...I was also going to ask...how long did it take most of you all to sleep in a bed again? (Assuming that you had to sleep in a chair to begin with...)

I can only sleep in a bed for about an hour at a time...then my incision starts hurting and my legs go numb...

so...yeah...

Well, that doesn't sound good. You maybe should talk to the doctor about that one. During the first couple of weeks, I was more comfortable in the recliner but I still went to bed, slept on my side, mostly with a big pillow behind my back. I just had to be real careful moving around or when I got out of bed. That was a little tricky.

I slept in my recliner the first night or two, then on the sofa with a bunch of pillows behind me. We have a waterbed, so it was difficult for me. I guess it was probably 1 1/2 - 2 weeks before I was really able to "sleep" in my bed. My dear husband, on the other hand, slept in the waterbed his first night home from the hospital. I told him that was totally unfair!!! I guess it depends on how fast the pain and soreness goes away.
