Default Skin changes after WLS?

Has anyone had there skin change after WLS? I'm not talking the obvious, like the extra skin....but it seems that my skin is less dry. for as long as I can remember I always had alligator elbows, heels, rough dry knuckles, palms and so forth. After the operation I was pretty much shedding skin, but as sson as it stopped I think my skin is actually rejuvinating itself. It is almost bordering on wierd. my hands, heels, elbows no longer have that "ashey" look. I do not put any sort of lotion, or have changed my soap, so I'm thinkin' it has to have something to do with my surgery...I dunno, has anyone else experienced this?????? Keep the fight sisters and brothers!!!!

It probably has to do with improved nutrition and better hydration!

You're also not all stretched out. You may also look darker. We have a set number of melanin cells in our skin. With wt gain, the cells become further apart. I burned very easily while fat, but not anymore. Also, we're not injesting so much toxic junk. Protect your skin with sunscreen and not smoke to keep it looking young for life!

Oh my gosh I thought the same.My skin used to be ashy, dry ect...Now I do see a change. Its more soft & healthy looking. It must be from better nutrition & health
See just one more positive thing about WLS,its great to feel better & look better even your skin.

my skin was very dry early out but that has past and now that you mention it-my skin looks a lot better too. I also don't seem to break out as bad as I did before. My heels are still kinda icky but no where near as bad as before. I think a lot of mine is hydration. I never drank water before wls.
