4 days post op
I am four days post op now and not really having any problems. I am still taking some pain meds, but that is only in the morning when I wake up and after my last walk for the day. Yesterday, I drank a lot of fluids. I am on a clear liquid diet, and I had over 100 ounces within the 24 hours. It worried me, that I was able to drink so much, but I never felt sick. Today, however, I have only been able to have roughly 64 ounces. Is there a point where you drink too much water? I have my 1 week follow up on Thursday. I'm really looking forward to that. I'm ready to get my staples out. I have 18 of them. They shaved my stomach (due to PCOS, I am kinda hairy) and it itches sooo bad and I'm afraid I'm going to accidentally snag a staple.
I started leash training my kitten today on m y last walk. He is 2 1/2 months old and I think he loved it. It was a 20 minute walk, and he did the whole thing without being picked up. it's the cutest! I have to walk slow for him, but he walks at my pace for right now lol. I hope everyone is doing good.
I told my husband today that I can't wait until I am on soft foods. To be able to see that I can in fact only consume a few bites at a time will make this seem more real. He said, does the fact that you haven't had anything heavier than chicken broth since thursday and you are not hungry prove anything to you? And honestly, it doesn't. I want to see proof. Did anyone else feel this way?
Sorry for rambling, this is the most awake I have been since my surgery.
