Default 6 months post op

Well I am 6 months post op and as an anniversary gift to myself, I found the scale reading 199!!!!!!I am finally under 200!!!!!!

Some one pinch me!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am really feeling great and am happy with my progress. I have lose 86 since surgery 12-27-04 and 96 since October 2004.

I am wearing size large shirts and size 14 jeans (no "W" after the 14 either!!) Pre-op was 22W jeans and 2x-3x shirts

My goal was to be a size 10- 12, not so much a weight. I am really not sure if I want to be too thin. Kelly wrote me down for 135 but I really am starting to think 160 is realistic for me. I like my curves and so far still have them.

I continue to lose evenly and feel that my measurements are good indication that my shape is...well....shapely. I have even measurements at the bust and hips. My waist is 10 inches smaller than them.

Skin hangs a bit, but not as bad as I thought it would and I am told that drinking water and working out will help even up to a year after the weight loss. The surgery was never about the looks, it was always about my health. So if I have a bit of uneven lumps here and about I am not complaining. I am 43 and have 3 children. My body is like a well read book, with bent pages and with the binding a little worn out. A book like that is book that is loved. I finally love my body, bent pages and all, it has been through so much with me and given me so much. I am finally loving it back. Feeding and working it the way it needs. Using it like a good book is read, so what if it shows wear, it is the wear of my life, the story of my days.

My family is proud of me, but most importantly I thank God in heaven that I have had no compications, as I feel so sorry for so many people who have such a rough time of it.

Thank you all for your support!!

Rain

Cool Way to go Rain

You are awsome Rain!!! What a great gift to hit the 199 mark. Isn't great to be able to say 1 something when you say your weight!! I am looking forward to that sometime this year.

I loved what you said about a worn book, very nice. Well, you are looking awsome!! Keep the curves!!

Take care,

Davey
