Default Something's wrong...

Sorry for being so quiet everyone, but ive been checking in everyday and reading posts, and thank you to all who answered my post about not losing anything.
It's now 5 am, and since around 8pm I've been having a terrible pain in my side, which seems to be getting worse. It hurts when I laugh, lean forward or lean to my left side, it seems to be right where my little filler plate is (Lap band surgery, not GBS) It hurts to even get out of my chair! Have I done something wrong? Like not chew enough? I've been 110% fine since surgery. (june 5th)..I'm starting to remember everything doc said about "band slippage"...
I'm hesitant to go in cos its gonna cost me an arm and a leg...If it doesnt get better in the next 12 hours though I think I'm gonna have to. I'm really suffering here..
Oh and also....
I'm late...
Please...tell me surgery makes you late?

Ok.... so I'm waiting to hear if you went to the doctors or not?? I'm still pre-op and stuff. But twice in my life I had bad pain like you described. Right on the side, I thought it was appendisitis, even though it wasn't it the right spot. First time it ended up being a gas bubble. I seriously had never felt pain like that in my life... a gas bubble?? But the doctor gave me a mylanta and tylenol cocktail and I was better just a short while later. The last time, just a few months ago. It was deeper, and the pain radiated everywhere. That turned out to be a UTI. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you're still home, don't panic call your doc. And yes I have heard of WLS doing all kinds of hokey things to your cycle. Well let us know how things turned out hun.

Thank you so much for answering sis!!!
I dont think its a gas bubble though, doest feel like one? and I dont have any symptoms of a UTI. I havent gone in, it was better when I woke up but as the day progressed got worse again. And doc's phone is always turned off. It only hurts when I move. but hurts bad. I'm sure I'll be fine though. I'll go in if it becomes intolerable. BtwI took a pregnancy test, negative THANK GOD.

I think you should go too... I'm not sure what it is. But I understand not wanting too. Maybe try a heating pad? Let me know....

Sudden sharp persistent pain deserves attention quickly. Call your MD NOW, or at least leave a message w/ his/her service. Someone should be/WILL BE on call 24/7......
And there is always the ER.......

I agree with everyone who has responded......get seen NOW.

Hope you feel better. Keep us posted.

Costing an arm and leg to see the doctor is much better than costing you your life.

I may be nothing. Yes I agree. But it may be something. There are a lot of somethings out there. Call you doctor so that you can be sure that everything is ok. If it is ok. You can relax in that knowledge. If it is not ok than you will be glad that you went.

Don't mess with your health. You had this surgery to make yourself a healthier person. So you have to go the doctor to protect that.

Please let us know how it comes out.

Sorry if I seem to nagging like a mom. I am a mom. But I am really just concerned about you. Please go to the doctor.

I woke up today and its now 6pm and Im pain free for some reason? I dont know what it was, maybe it really was some gas bubble or some food got stuck somewhere? Whatever it is thank GOD it's gone. But I promise all you mommies, if it comes back, cross my heart and hope to die I'm off to the doc.
