Default I Don't Think It's Normal

I am 8 days out and I can eat.. I am not feeling full at all and everything agrees with my new pouch. Is this normal?

The only negative response my body is having is my energy level is zero.

I have none at all...A stroll to the end of the driveway has me sneaking a nap.

I am taking all my vitamins like a good girl and putting protein powder into just about everything that passes my lips but all I want to do is sleep.

Is any of this normal?

I seen my doctor on Thurs and he said it was expected I feel weak .... BTW I was down 6.5 lbs at my weigh-in.

Congrats on weight loss hun. I havent had GBS, I had lap banding, but from what I understand youre expected to feel hungry the first couple weeks, Are you still only on liquids? Cos they wont make you feel full like solids will. What did doc say about hunger? And when you say you can eat "Anything", what do you mean? Arent you supposed to be on certian foods?
Sorry I cant be on more help.

Peckkale! That is awesome that you are already down to 213! Congrats! I would think you are OK since you are still losing weight. You are just lucky, everything makes me nauseated. I think your lack of energy is due to your body still healing, since you are getting your vitamins in and you are getting in enough protein.

In maintenance... now I'm yo-yoing up and down 10 lbs or so. I'm trying to find out how to stay at a set weight, it's rough.

Default Feeling hungry???

Another post said they thought you should be feeling hungry the first couple of weeks.....I am 12 weeks out and have not been hungry yet.The smells make my mind go bonkers but never the "Huger" feeling.

Good Luck~ Van

It seems I'm tolerant of anything I put in my mouth.

This is what I'm eating; (Keep in mind I'm mixing protein powder into everything I possibly can.)

tomato soup w/extra protein powder
refried beans w/extra protein powder
scrambled eggs w/extra protein powder
cottage cheese
ricotta cheese
peanut butter w/extra protein powder
yogurt
mashed potatoes w/extra protein powder
beef gravy w/extra protein powder
milk w/extra protein powder & bananas
sugar-free jello
sugar-free icepops
sugar-free pudding

I measured out 2 ozs of refried beans for lunch today and figured I would get that full feeling everyone tallks about.....Nothing....I stop when I finished the 2 ozs.

My husband remarked, "I thought you weren't suppose to be able to eat that much."

I am very doubtful at this point that I will be able to lose much weight and keep it off.

So far I have had everything on your list and they also all agree with me. The only thing that made me sick was my vitamin on an empty pouch. I am not able to eat as much though 3/4 of a scrambeled egg and I am full I can feel pressure in my chest where my new pouch is. Also the liquid and puree foods go through the pouch faster than real solid foods. HTH

I can eat 2 ozs of scrambled eggs without any pressure or pain. ... I'm stopping at the 2 ozs... I don't want to know, just yet, what this new pouch can hold.

I don't know exactly how much I am having by weight I don't have a scale. But 3/4 of an egg. 1/4 c ricotta. Soup I can have 4-6 oz depending on if it is thick soup or thin broth. But I can easily eat almost a full snack pack pudding (sf low fat). I am not sure how big those are 3.7 oz each i believe. But from what everyone has told me the puree and liquids are easier moved through the pouch therefore you can have more than say a baked piece of fish.

I am so boring in my advice because it always seems like I say the same thing-when in doubt, call your doc! I felt hungrier early out than I do now. I think most of mine was mental. You really need protein but only use what is recommended for the day and no more. Everything you are eating sounds like where you should be and it's all got quite a bit of protein. Congrats on your weight loss so far and give your doc or nutrionist a call.
