Matt,

Here's hoping the worst is behind you (pun not intended). Glad you're ok, and stay that way! Welcome home and thanks for scaring the bejeepers out of me.

I really appreciate everyone's support.

I'm still able to get my liquids down ok, and the only pain I'm feeling is the slight twinge from time to time from my incisions. Now that I've begun my protein drinks, I'm feeling less and less tired as the days have gone by.

The thing that just really sucks right now is the weight lifting restriction, because I'm dying to pick up my 2 year old and swing him around!

Matt, I just found this site yesterday so this is the first time I have read one of your posts. I am so glad that you are okay. I am 10 years post op and I can tell you that it will all be worth it just hang in there. Be extra careful and let your body heal. You are doing the right thing to start with the protein shakes.

Give gentle hugs for now and you will be able to use your 2 year old for weight-lifting later!

Glad your okay! it is good to know what can happen with wls and pre ops need this info. Congrats on your weight loss so far! I know how bad you want to hold your 2 yr old so maybe your wife could just put him on your lap for a little quiet time for now and you'll be back to swing him around in a few weeks. Take care and keep us posted on your recovery.
