Thumbs down No support @ Support Group

Hey guys.Hope evreyone is doing well.I have not been on in a while due to work and the semi-anual sale(Victoria's Secret)Anyway~I went to my Dr.s support group last night after work and left feeling like a real loser.
We all took turns and said our names ,wether we were pre or post op and how much weight we had lost...well 25 people later my turn rolls around ..I introduce self,3 months post -op and down 72 lbs..Three people clapped and then every eye was on me.They were shocked that i had lost so much weight. The next 30 mins were questions from the registered dietitian,Dr. L's Nurse(who knew I had three strictures and a GI bleed) and a ton from the others.I felt very uncomfortable.I realize we all lose at different rates but I was very sick for weeks.Anyway~I thought I was on track for a post -op with the complications behind them*crossing fingers*I didn't even know how to answer some of the questions....it was that bad.
Just felt like sharing~
Take care...Van

And get out to Victoria's Secret...Sale ends July 12th!!!!

Default Van,

Everyone wants to know how you did it. That is the big question I still get asked when I tell people how much I have lost. 75 pounds is an increadible amount of weight. Just be proud and share only what you feel comfortable sharing with others.

Van,
Don't worry, you just stick with us. I don't think there is anyone on this forum that will judge you, We'll just listen and support you.

Vanessa~

You have all of us and I hope we can continue to support/help you. I wish you were close and could attend our meetings. If it wasn't for the support meetings at Dr. Callery/Potts office, I wouldn't be so on track. They keep me in line and remind me where I came from and no one is judgmental to the point of making anyone feel bad, at least I hope not.

Sending hugs to ya in Florida!! My other sister is there right now on vacation.
Next month my parents go back over to their house near Fort Myers to visit and make sure everything is ok.

Smile Sorry it was a bummer

Unfortunately alot of us that are/were MO have this instant gratificaton personalities. When we see someone doing alot "better" than ourselves we ge envious or a little jealous even.

I lost 125 pounds in a little over 6 months, I pretty much lost a pound a day, (I had a 2 week weight loss stall) and thats about it. Some people resent that, Im not sure why but it has been thrown into my face on this board before.... you just happen to be a fast loser and thats anyone else's problem who cant encourage your success! I know thats alot easier said and read than its easier to accept, because as MO people we also want to please other people.... your an individual and incredibly unique, you value your tool and you follow the rules, if people are envious of your weight loss success, they should be. Lead by example, share what you do and perhaps those losers can see the error of their ways. Keep on being the shining star and our leader in the south! (( HUGS )) and head up SUPERSTAR!
