That is a good idea! I also thought about sucking on a sugar free hard candy or lollipop...something that I'd have to take out in order to taste.

I would be so sad if I dumped on bananas! During my stricture days I survived on my protein fruit smoothie with about 1/2 a small banana each day.

But, I understand. You must respect the pouch!

Hey Kay! I completely understand you! I havne't popped anything in my mouth yet (surprisingly), but if i'm not thinking...I take big bites...or forget to chew my food well enough!!! That moment when you realize what you did is shocking...one because you don't want to get sick..and two, because I can't believe how I use to hoover my food! I"m glad it didn't make you sick!!! Take care!

Thanks so much for the gum idea - I will be sure to try it. I am also a mindless food popper and have had a couple of scares since surgery. This is such an interesting journey but one I am so happy to be on!

I take big bites and eat too fast alot.Ow it hurts! I just dont think until its too late. Or Ill take too big a gulp of liquid...
I love the bananas.Id hate it if I couldnt have one once in awhile.
