Exclamation Returned home today from hospital- and my mind is going crazy!!

Hello everyone! For those who have been praying for me and keeping me in their thoughts I thank you from the very bottom of my heart
I am finally home and I feel so out of touch with everything! Its soo hard coming home and seeing my lil brother and my mom eating anything they want- even my fiance. Even coming home from the hospital we were walking to the car and we passed a bakery- Dear Lord! Just the smell of fresh bread had me wanting to run in there and buy a loaf. I know its going to be a tough battle between my mind and my lil pouch
Other then that I'm doing ok, my belly still has gas and whenever I drink water I feel more gas pains but I'm only eating about an oz per meal and I'm full. I do not try to eat more after I feel that fullness because I do not like to throw up!!
I'm going to start the protein drink tomorrow (any suggestions on protein shakes are welcomed). I need all the advice I can get from my post op friends...let me know what foods worked for you and so forth. I appreciate every bit of info. Til later

I'm so happy that you are home safe.I hope you feel better soon.
I am still pre-op I'm hoping soon to be a big looser like you.
In a few months when you put your skinny jeans on you will be so happy.

good for you! congrats on everything!! I had so much gas I could hear and feel it moving in my stomache it was like I was 7 months pregnant lol.
Youll be ok though and you'll do great. the first week is the worst. Slim fast is the only drink they sell here, but i found putting a banana in a blender with skim milk is real good and helps me fill up. you'll do great!!!! and when you start losing youll feel wonderful!

Welcome home! Glad to hear that you are doing as well as expected. The head hunger is a battle, one worth the fight. I really enjoyed egg drop soup strained, hummas, shrimp spread, crisp bacon, cottage cheese, and sugar free/fat free pudding.

Best of luck!

Thanks guys for the advice, I feel better today- not much gas pains as before. I am trying my best to take it slow. I'm going to get my potein shakes today but not sure which one to get...I dont want to drink something chalky and nasty....please let me know if theres a good protien shake out there!!
And also is it a safe to add any thing in the protien shakes like fruits, etc..

Smile Welcome home honey

Welcome back, and welcome to the other side. No fruits at this time, but you can mix your shake with the fruit flavored Crystal Light mixes. My favorite protein drink? Atkins Advatage in Vanilla (dry mix), I love to mix it with Sunrise Orange Crystal Light.. tastes just like an Orange Julius. That protein drink just doesnt feel like a brick in my gut after drinking it... good luck and best wishes... remember nothing tastes as good as thin feels... say it over and over again......
