Default Just for laughs . . .

Last post for today . . .

So I read in the "Things I Wish I Knew Beforehand" that not everyone would like the way you look after gastric bypass.

I'm only a month out and have lost about 26 lbs--feeling good, enjoying my slim-downed figure and all, and then a guy at work tells me I look "emaciated about the face . . . " Lovely. I'm not sure if I should take that as an insult or compliment???

I'm also getting the blank stares from co-workers that don't know I've had surgery. So funny!

Default "Are you sick?"

That's completely normal. I remember after about 2 months I was at work feeling rather cute when someone I don't know very well said, "I've noticed you've lost weight; you're not sick, are you?" Thanks so much but no.

Most people tell me I look wonderful - however, those who are fishing for information ask me if I feel okay.
