Huge Feet!!
I was wondering if anyone has had swelling of your ankles and feet after the surgery? I noticed mine were huge today and this never happens to me. Could it have anything to do with not drinking enough?

I had a huge problem with swelling before surgery so I'm no certain whether surgery caused it or not. Sorry!

You can get swelling due to dehydration or during PMS when the body retains fluid. Also, if you're on your feet all day, it can cause the ankles to swell. You should still ask your MD about it.

Water, I know.
Thanks, guys. I bet it is dehydration. I know I/m not drinking enuf, and I've already had a UTI and kidney infection. I just need to force the water, I know.

My legs did swell some after surgery. I was told to drink drink drink, and prop my feet up when I was sitting down. I don't know if it's from dehydration or just all the anesthesia. It eventually went away.

Too much salt makes my ankles swell and I have to drink a lot of course to flush it out.

Drink, drink, drink!
More water, I know. And I was craving salty stuff, so I know that didn't help.
Dale, BELOW goal before a year!!!!! Amazing! Congratulations.

My feet were so swollen after surgery I could not get my shoes on even after taking the laces out. I ended up going home in my bed slippers and I had to take the Metro to get home...LOL I was told it was from all the IV fluids they were pumping into me.
