Default 3 DAYS OUT & Feeling GREAT!

Move on over...I've finally reached my goal of having my lap rny. It was completed on Monday...Yeah!!! I got released from the hospital at about 1 oclock on Tuesday...after I could prove my bladder was working & I wasn't having any nausea. So far so good, I'm feeling great and have been able to get in 40+ ounces for liquids per day. My goal...to get to the metrodome to watch my son play in the MN Football finals on Friday...I have a wheelchair all lined up...

ahh - a minnesotan - Welcome! Congrats on joining the losers bench. Are you new today? It looks like you are a mystery.

I am from minnesota as well. What team will you be supporting on Friday and what position does your son play?

Who did your surgery? How much do you have to lose?

take care and good luck this week.

I've been reading the TT threads for the last 6 months, but have been too non-computer savy to respond to anyone. This looks like a wonderful bunch of people I started my journey back in April with attending the WL seminar, from there I did my nut visits & psych testing...thought I was already, then learned that my surgeon, who was new to SMDC was not a Center for Excellence MD yet thru Medica...ugghhh. Well SMDC was great & worked with me at getting my surgery scheduled with Dr. Medlin (wonderful man, for the short amount of time I've known him!)

Surgery went great & I'm feeling about 80% at less than a week out. Hubby just removed my pain ball today & I've promoted him from Nurse Steve to Dr. Steve.

We will be following the MLWR team in AA football & hoping they win. I have my wheelchair all ready for the ride around the metrodome & my CIB is already packed, hoping they will let me bring it in, if not, I'll be drinking one before the game and one after...some plan tailgating...I plan my pain meds, CIB, and water

Welcome to the Minnesota loser's bench! I live in northern Minnesota and I'm 5 1/2 weeks out of surgery. So glad to hear your surgery went well and you are feeling great. Did you have surgery in Duluth? I had all three of my boys at St. Mary's when we lived in Superior in the 90's. I had my surgery in Crosby, near Brainerd. I was surprised to find a center of excellence up here. I thought I would have to go to the cities for surgery.

Good luck to your son and his team. Have a wonderful time!
