i think i should have my own wing....
So, yesterday i was at the boyfriend's house. Got really shaky out of nowhere... thought maybe my sugar was low, so i made him carry me into the room & i had a lil bit of soda (i knowwwww) to maybe see if that was the case. My body temp then shot up and i was still incredibly shaky, i started panicking at that point. It ended up stopping and I was then able to drive home.
About 2 hrs later I was home after watching army wives and out of nowhere I started feeling shakey again, just like before, except this time I had that 'curled in fetal position' mind-numbing pain right in my middle below my ribcage. This lasted for about 30 mins, the intensity coming and going. I mean no joke on the floor crawling and screaming bloody murder for mom.
I know the way my surgeon works, if i call him.. hes going to send me to the hospital. And frankly, we all know my relationship with the hospital. Now, this has happened like 2 times about 3 wks ago as well if im not mistaken. I don't know what to do guys, really i'm turning to you because i have no clue what to do anymore.

Aww sweetie,
Have the BF bring you up here and I'll take care of you. I know you have had way more than your share of problems but, we are talking about your health here. Will your insurance allow you to see another doctor? I'm kind of getting the feeling that you don't have much faith in yours. I can fully understand that.
But, first and foremost you need to get yourself well. We love you and miss you when you are away but, would rather go a few days with you getting well then something more. Read the updates on Julie and the mess that poor girl is in.
Keep us posted and if you need anything at all just let me know.
Charlie

switching doctors isn't as easy as it sounds... Kelly- you have such a HISTORY of problems... I hope you've been writing down dates/doctors/tests/treatments.... I know with my DH we try to keep a notebook going, but it gets tiring... but it's essential!
everytime I read of these problems --- I just thank my lucky stars that I've had ZERO problems since surgery...
Take care hon... and let us know what's happening next! We all love you and worry about you!

I don't know your wholeeee history with the docs but I know from your postings that you HATEEE going, but in this case if it is bad enough for you to go into a fetal position...and it's not monthly cramps...something is wrong in there!!! GO TO THE DOCTOR DAMN IT!!!

called surgeon, because i am apparently stupid..
he claims it might be a gas pocket... of course i am cynical and bitchy and refuse to actually listen to anything he says at this point. Says i can go to the hospital and have em do a catscan, WHICH HAS NEVER SHOWN ANYTHING IN THE PAST, NOT EVEN THE KINK I HAD! or i can wait it out.
i am in pain, but its not constant horrible pain, yet the pains always there....
i dont know what do to, who to trust, etc. I'm at my wits end with this.

Kelly, one thought of what might be going on is that you could still have gallstones in your common bile duct. Even though the gallbladder is gone there could still be stones in the ducts. It will give you much of the same pain as your gallbladder. I've actually been experiencing some pain in that area too, lately. Maybe about 8 times in the 4 months since surgery. It is always right under my sternum. It starts right where the incision is for my gallbladder surgery. Sometimes it lasts about 5 min and other times up to 30-45min. It's woken me up in the middle of the night twice and once I was having dry heaves along with it. I finally broke down and talked to one of the PA's after support group. I actually was having the pain during the meeting and my friend wouldn't let me leave until I talked to him. For myself? I'm heading for an abdominal ultrasound on Weds.
Just a thought but it might be something that is worth checking out.

Kelly, see if your surgeon is willing to schedule you for an ultrasound. Not sure if this type of thing would show up on a CT scan, especially if it is sludge and not a huge stone.
Keep me informed to what is going on, Kel. Gotta get you better!!
