I can't tolerate much of anything fried except for chicken strips but I take all the breading off. Don't try to eat a french fry-Just trust me on this one. I was soooo sick!

Barbara, I wish I was you! I went to a local fair today with the kids and hubby and they have these heavenly things called, "Tornado Tatos". I wanted to eat a couple so bad but I knew they would make me sooo sick so i passed on them. they are thin cut potatos cut in spirals and they put vinegar on them. i got a gyro instead and only had about 4 bites and tossed it. Same reason I passed on the corn dog with tons of mustard, BUT it is worth the weight loss!!! A million times over!!!!

Does the aversion to fried food a permanent condition, or one that will eventually abate?

No greasy food for me....icky. It makes me soooo ill. I still try it and every time, I ask myself why I bothered. I am thankful I have this wonderful tool.

Default Don't go down well

Fried foods don't really make me sick if I just nibble, but they ALWAYS get stuck in my throat... painfully... like when I had my stricture.

Fried foods are o.k. with me for a couple bites, but I think too much is not a good idea. We need to fill up our lil pouch with the good stuff!

Funny how some stuff affects others. I have only dumped on a couple things. One was recently on lentil soup. They put pasta in it, and I think they boiled the pasta in the broth leaving the starch in the soup. Had to go nighty night for 1 hour, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hot dogs do me in also!

I can't tolerate them. I know a few post ops who can. Since I stopped eating fried food 18 months ago. I feel 300% better. No shortness of breath, no chest pains and I just feel better all around. My husband who is old school Mexican and grew up on fried foods, hardly ever eats it anymore. Not even fries unless he is craving them, my daughter also.
