Default bypass re-done

does anyone know if they re-do the bypass. I have had concerns for the last couple of weeks, I only had the op 12th july and I can eat anything without the sensation of feeling full.I don't feel sick and have no problems associated with this op. I am bearly losing weight, I spoke to the dietician this morning who also thinks it does not sound right and that I should only be able to eat very small quantities so she is referring me back to the surgeon. Anyone know what the recommendation would be

Hello there, could you give some examples of what you are eating? What does a typical day's menu look like?

How much is "bearly losing weight" mean in the number of pounds? What types of food are you eating? How much at a time?

Those are questions that I have for you. I didn't really get the "full feeling" until maybe 3 months out...once I began real textured foods. When the doctor had me on the pureed foods...I truly felt hungry! They are really considered 'slider' foods...in and out of the pouch pretty quickly and NOT filling at all!

Just my experience...

Swifty, since you have not offered any statistics on where you were and where you are with weight, it's impossible to come to any conclusions.

The full feeling is very different after wls.

And what it is you are eating is very important. And how often.

Many variables here. Perception is one's own reality.

I now eat all solid foods, I have lost 2 pounds in 3 weeks. If I eat a Jacket potato with tuna I am able to eat it all without any discomfort, I don't go out of my way to eat large quantities, it is I who control the amount I eat not the operation. I feel this defeats the reasons why I had the op in the first place. I had a similar op 15years ago where my stomach was stappled, if I ate a couple of spoon fulls of food I was full, I lost over 11stone in weight, sadly time and babies changed that and I started to creep back up, reaching 18stone, fear drove me to take this drastic action. But it is not working.
I have a varied diet, I eat fish, meat, if I am out I have a sandwich and it is like I never had the op.

You're right - it's not working. Tell the surgeon.

i have heard also the surgery is performed differently there in the UK allowing you to enjoy and eat more food than us over here in the USA. So i would seek your doctor's advice
