Default Just had my Gall bladder removed.....

So I just got out of the hospital. I had my gall bladder removed yesterday morning and they said they filled me with gas to be able to look around or something. Well the gas has moved into my shoulders... they say this is normal and should be gone in a few hours but as i said it is the next day and the pain is just as bad, even with Vicadin(or however you spell it). Has anyone else had this problem and when does it go away cuz I am in tears from the pain even with medicine....

i dunno about with the GB surgery, but since it's laproscopic, sounds up to par. They do the same with your Lap RNY and yes, the shoulder pain for me was the worst of it.

The best thing to do is walk walk walk and move that gas out the natural way

I totally thought I was going crazy and was all alone on this. I had mine out a week ago today and it STILL hurts in my shoulders and shoulder blade area on my right side. I totally think this surgery was worse then my GBS even though it's a common procedure. Well I hope you're feeling better real soon, and my heating pad has been a blessing with the pain hopefully that might help ya too!

I can't wait to have my life back, I know it's going to be a long haul, but I know when I'm able to play with my girls, not be in pain anymore, and my husband is able to wrap both arms around me and pick me up that it will all be worth it!
