Default help help help -- three week stall

How did you guys get over any stalls? Did you start a food diary, excercise, etc. I have tried some excercise and I don't think I eat all that much I stay away from pasta, rice, and most carbs I do allow some potatoes and bread but that really is it. ????? I am getting desperate and am feeling like the surgery is no longer working and so very very afraid I will go back to eating bad things as I feel like a failure.

Thanks in advance,

Angela Watkins

I have had a couple of stalls and usually if I vary what I am eating(change it up completely) or raise my calorie count 100-200 calories a day I can get it moving again.

I keep a little notebook on the kitchen table; I list everything that goes into my mouth: food----------------calories-----carbs---------protein

I try for under 1000 calories, under 40 carbs, and at least 80grams protein. When I eat too much fruit (high in carbs) I tend to stall out. I also drink more water - try to 60-80 oz a day. This way I know where I'm at for the day. Did I get enuf protein? Am I getting too many carbs?

does anything really help with a stall besides staying on track and waiting it out? they are normal process for your body during weight loss. just have to stay off the scales and not worry too much about. once i realized they were bound to happen over and over, i relaxed. maybe that will help you too.

I think 3 weeks is a normal stalling time.

I agree...stalls are going to happen. Just keep doing what you're doing and the scale *will* move. Patience--the tool does work. ...but yea I remember how I hated stalls too...

I agree with Traci and Elisa. As long as your doing what your supposed to do sometimes ya just have to chill and wait it out.
