Default Coffee

Every once in a while I see people post that they drink Starbucks. To those of you making those posts... Are you drinking decaf or the "real thing"? I so love to drink "real" coffee. It makes me feel more alert and together, especially since I work nights. I'm almost 11 months post op and I'll have a little coffee every once in a while. Unfortunately if I have more than a little tiny cup my tummy hurts all the way to my back. Yes, I know, that if it hurts I shouldn't do it. But awww shucks... can other people tolerate real coffee????

Sorry for the long pout.

I've been allowed by my doctor to drink real coffee since a couple months out, in limited amounts (1-2 cups a day). I have had no problems with it. I wish you could tolerate it better! I guess each of us is different.

Six months out and I can drink moderate amounts of coffee with no ill effects. Try to limit caffeine so I drink half and half. Limit to 2 cups a day (before surgery 6-8 cups a day).

my surgeon said my 1-2 cups a day (caffienated coffee) was fine. But i know a few on here that unfortunatly coffee REALLY makes their pouches hurt girl sounds like you are one of the unlucky ones. I'm sorry (sipping my coffee for ya)
