Unhappy Found out what was wrong with me...

GUESS WHAT? I had to go to the hospital this morning...I thought it might be my gall-bladder....after blood work, an ultrasound, a ct scan and a butt load of xrays...they found a needle left in me....my surgeon didn't do it...the guy that sewed my incisions up dropped one of the suture needles and left it in there....bastard...i kept telling them that it felt like i was burning/itching/pinching/stinging when i would stand up, sit down, bend over....i knew something wasn't right man...he had to open one of my incisions up and dig in there to find it...im a little sore but tomorrow i should be feeling better hopefully...my surgeon kept the needle to show the guy what he di....i told him to kick his butt for me....he told me he would be doing alot more than that....he was LIVID....they all felt so bad because they kept telling me that it was normal you know which i understand why they would think that you know? but man...that guy is really really really lucky he didn't come over where i was while this was happening..my surgeon would be surgically removing my foot out of his ass man...they're lucky i'm not thinking about sueing man...sheesh!

That's just INSANE!!! I thought they counted their sponges and instruments... NEEDLES too! I'm sure you have cause for a law suit... if you feel like pursuing it!

Happy healing now - needle free!

Are you serious? I would own that hospital! That's insane, how scary it must be to know that when someone kept telling you that it was normal that there was a foreign object inside of you. I really hope you recover soon!

I can't wait to have my life back, I know it's going to be a long haul, but I know when I'm able to play with my girls, not be in pain anymore, and my husband is able to wrap both arms around me and pick me up that it will all be worth it!

Wow, I'm SO glad that you pursued your suspicions that something was really wrong. It gets proven over and over on this Forum that it is VITAL to be your own best advocate for your health. Because that is just...bad...when such a stupid, avoidable mistake happens. I guess we all make mistakes at our jobs (I know I do!!), but when it's a person's health and comfort on the line...wow, don't mess up, dude!

Congrats on getting the issue resolved! You rock!
