Help please
I was hoping that you might help me. I know I am not a patient of yours but I honestly do not trust my doctor. He has been telling me since March (when they had to stretch me since I was only 5mm around) that it is impossible for me to vomit. He has not drawn blood, he has done nothing just says he has to wait till I get back up to at least 120 to release me back to work. Now the hospital is calling and saying I can not make another apt to see him till I pay 2k of the bill that the insurance which has since been canceled by my employer did not pay. I do not have the money so I sit here in pain. I have done everything to stop the vomiting. I thought I was on the right road when I finally gained some weight and got back up to 115 but I am tired, light headed, bruise from crossing my legs, keep cutting my skin open for no reason (other then I run into walls and pass out and apparently hit myself in the proccess.) I have migrains, my nerves are freaking out. I feel like I am sitting on a heating pad all day long, my legs get week so I keep walking but then I get dizzy and start vomiting again. I have severe I mean on a scale of one to 10 level 9-11 pain in the left side just under my breast bone and rib cage and a stabbing pain when I eat even a bite or drink more then a glass of water in my right side. My chest has been feeling heavy and now, my left arm feels like someone is stabbing me in the muscle.
The doc will not call me back, he has a nurse do it who is rude and whom I can not stand. She just tells me that there is nothing anatomically wrong with me since the stretch. Well My original surgery was Dec 5 and they said there was nothing wrong with me then but I woke up vomiting blood and had to eventually have part of my colon removed. I am scared. even my joints in my ankles hurt when I walk. Saddleback is the closest hospital to me here in orange county, they say if I go in they will transfer me to UCI where my doc is but he does not believe me and he will not even run blood work. I am scared. I am sick, but I can not afford 2k for a doc to tell me it is impossible to vomit after rny when I can be the first to say it is not.
One lady suggested a revision but my doc said it would do no good and be more risky. Now I requested my chart over a month ago and they suddenly can not find it but are calling me and harassing me for money so they have something. I have a new job to start in october on the 20th and I want to go back to work but I am so tired and hungry. I need to keep food down. Please tell me what do to.

Oh Wow
Wow, I couldn't believe what I just read. Honey, it sounds like you need to get help quickly!!! Can you drive? I just feel terrible... i don't know what to tell you. Do you have enough cash to go see another doctor and get a second opinion. I would even put a call into a lawyer that specializes in malpractice, and see if they might be able to give you some direction. Please keep me informed, and if I can think of anything mind blowing I will let you know.

I do not have the money but I will find it. I just can not find anyone that has a clue. I live by a hospital that keeps transfering me by ambulance back to the one where I was because they do not deal with this.
It is just soooo painful. I need help and can not get it.

You need to go to the ER. I know they'll transfer you to the other hospital, but they HAVE to treat you. It's the law. If your dr won't treat you in the hospital, DEMAND another dr.
You have the right to be treated. The ER cannot turn you away based on lack of insurance or money. Your dr is NOT the final say at the hospital.
You have to be your own advocate. You can end up dead if this continues. Fight for yourself, honey. You're completely worth it.
MAKE A FUSS UNTIL THEY LISTEN!

how much should you lose in 6 months? I was 220 now 107 and still losing although I gained this week I was almost 99 lbs. So I am up again. But isn't this all too fast?
Could that be why I am not feeling well and in so much pain?

That's kind of fast considering you were a 'lightweight' as far as WLS is concerned..
You NEED to be treated.. vomiting on a daily basis is not normal, the blood.. not normal..
You need to also see a lawyer.. but first you need to get treatment.. do you have someone that can go with you that can be an advocate for you? If not, when you get to the hospital, ask for their patient advocate.. many hospitals have one now days.

I am logging off. I will let you know what happens but I called my honey and he is coming home from work. I just fell trying to get water. I can not walk on my ankles they hurt so bad and my head is in a perminent fog. I have to do something. His boss is letting him go early and we are going to drive down towards mission hospital closer to south county or north san diego at least try a hospital that is not affiliated with the one I can not trust.

I don't live in Orange County, but I'm only an hour or so from you. If there is anything you need or anything I can do for you, please let me know. I'm off work for two more weeks so I have nothing but time!!! Hope they are able to get you the medical attention you need AND deserve!!! Best of luck, and I'll be praying for you!
