Default I'm Freezing!

Does everyone go through this? I can not seem to stay warm short of long pants, thick socks, a sweat shirt, and a blanket! I'm not running a fever, I keep checking and it's normal, but I am freezing! We keep our house at 80 degrees during the day and I am still cold!! Is this going to get worse when I start losing more weight?? Thank god I live in Florida, I can at least go outside and warm up a little in the blazing heat!

I'm 10 months out and STILL cold! My wife likes to sleep with the air conditioner on at night and I'm absolutely a MIKE-SICLE in the morning!

I didnt know being cold was part of the course after surgery, BUT I am looking forward to it!!! I am always burning up and so afraid that once I hit my menopause I am just going to melt like the wicked witch.

Cant wait to be cold in California

Hugs

Default Not that early

I sure didn't notice it after losing just 30 lbs., but it's been my long-term reality postop. I'm always colder than everyone else. Losing the layer of insulation was part of it, but I believe it has to do with our body's adaptation to being thin after being obese for so long. But a lot of skinny people who were never obese tend to be cold more often.

Living in AZ it's kind of nice You'll probably find it a consistent reality after WLS, it's been mine ever since reaching goal (and before that too, don't know at what point in the weight loss).

Totally normal!

I was always the person that NEVER had a coat on during the winter...now that I'm post-op I'm that weird chick at the soft-ball complex that is wearing a heavy jacket, sweatshirt, AND gloves and is still complaining about how cold it is!! Yep, get used to the weird looks you're gonna get.

Before surgery, I froze everyone at home. Hubby would bundle up to keep warm because I was friggin hot!

But now, I tend to get cold very easily. Hubby had to take a picture of me in my robe and slippers because I was cold and HE was hot!

Go figure!
