I have always been Hot! After my surgery, i have had occasions where I get extremely cold. Was in Las Vegas, Temp was 108, and I was wearing long pants instead of shorts. Just about any time I go outside of the house at night, I wear long pants. Also, at night, my wife is always hot, so the A/C is down and I have sleeping under a light comforter. I used to sleep on top of the sheets. It is strange to me, that you can go from Hot to Cold with this surgery.

Default I'm cold too

I accused my surgeon of breaking my thermostat. I was always hot and sweaty. I didn't even own any sweatshirts or sweaters. I wore short-sleeved stuff all winter. In the summer, I suffered.

NOW...........I'm cold. By morning, I am sleeping in a sweater AND a winter bathrobe over my PJ's. I am just back from Louisiana - and one day it was 110 degrees - and I sat outside in the sun to warm up from our motel room! I enjoyed the heat last week.

I thought it was just me - but now I see that it is common for us WLS folk. Just think of all the money we'll save on air conditioning!

Thank GOD! I mean, I have adjusted to Florida living, I am from the north and now can't handle the winters, but not being able to handle the Florida SUMMERS? I thought I was losing my mind. How funny. I have been sleeping in socks, my down comfortor and a blanket and I'm ok...could use another blanket, thank god I have dogs to keep me warm! lol

Do any of you know the sellers name on those things? I need one for VT this winter, but that link in that thread is showing up as 'invalid'.

Either the sellers name or the product's actual name would be helpful though. thanks.

For the first 3 months after surgery I was COLD all the time. I have NEVER been cold in my life. I am the odd girl who wears shorts in the middle of the winter, even in snow. After surgery though, I was cold all of the time for 3 months, this last month though, it has started to level off some. I was able to keep my AC on 75 all summer and stay completely comfortable in pants. Most summers, I have had to keep it on 65-68, this saved us a TON of money this summer!

Jen,
Totally normal - go for angora and/or cashmere sweaters or silk t-shirts for lighter warmth - nobody can tell you are freezing and your body thermostat will adjust itself in time!
Cheers,
Vim
