Red face Losing butt fat and driving

I am having a problem. The car I have is a red Pontiac Vibe. I always have the seat pretty far back, in the same spot that my dad drives it in. Since my weight has really dropped it seems as if I can't quite reach the pedals. My theory is that I am losing fat off of the back of my butt which puts me sitting further back in the seat which makes me further away from the pedals. Does anybody else seem to have this problem?

Oh, what a problem to have! Actually I am so short-legged that I have my seat (in spite of my tummy) as close as I can get it to the wheel (I drive a Jeep).

In your case I would call your problem a good thing...think of it as a WOW moment!!!

lol yes, but I like to have it far back so I don't feel like I'm sitting on the wheel. It may seem like a good thing, but I don't think I'm liking it.

OMG, I thought I was the only one who had an aching butt! It was rather well padded before, but now, my butt bones kill me when I'm sitting all day at work. Hmmm, my extra fat did have a purpose, after all.

Try using a thin pillow on the seat Laura. I'm not tall (5'5"), but I have the seat as far back as it will go in my Crossfire. I haven't noticed a difference in reaching the pedals, but it sure is a heck of a lot easier to get in and out of that tiny little car now! 60 lbs ago, I resembled a beached whale when I was trying to get out of the seat...I'm a tad more graceful now, lol.

I like to read sitting up in my bed before I shut the light off at night but lately, I find I can't even sit up in my bed because my tail bone feels like it's coming through the skin it hurts so much! What the heck is that going to feel like when I'm down the other 82 lbs???

Oh.. re : the car & pedals. I am short, only 5'4" and used to have a problem in that to be able to reach the clutch, I had to have the seat really forward, but my belly rubbed the stearing wheel, which needed to be up in the highest position.

Now.. not only can I have the seat adjusted properly but I can also move the steering wheel down lower where it's more comfortable for my also short little arms.

I found I had to adjust the rear view mirror down, was wondering if I had bumpted it, when I realized that probably was all that butt fat that put me up higher lol, easy fix, but I also have plenty of room between my belly and the wheel, even with it moved where is at a comfortable distance for my leggs, before, I had it far back as I could and still had a thight fit behind the wheel, I aint complaining, I will move it forward more if I have to lol

Gee Laura, what a horrible problem to have...getting too skinny to drive with the seat all the way back

Back in my huge ass days, I had to own an Expedition and a Cadillac, two of a few cars that fit me. I sold the Expedition but still own the Cadillac. I've gone from the seat all the way back, with the seatback reclined, and the tilt wheel as high as up as it goes, to the seat all the way forward and the wheel all the way down. Luckily, my pedals are adjustable or I might have the same problem you do.
