Default Can I Do This?

I had a brilliant idea for myself today...or maybe not so brilliant, hence the asking about it:
I am about 1 1/2 weeks out of surgery and I am doing a great job at getting my liquids in, getting 50-60 oz a day. I can still only tolerate 2 protein shakes though. So, I got this great idea to mix 2 scoops of my protein powder in about 10 oz of fat free milk. That gives me about 60 g of protein in one shake. Problem is, it also gives me about 21 g of sugars. Is this a bad place to go?? It takes me a while to drink it with the sip sip sipping, but I am still concerned with the high sugar sontent.

This is the Chocolate body fortress. Most of the sugar comes from the milk though

I have real issues with milk that I think is from the sugar content. I would suggest to just be real careful dumping sucks.

Your body can only absorb about 30 g of protein at a time...the rest is wasted. Split it up into two shakes so that you can take full advantage of the nutritional value!

Ditto...what Mike said.

I really don't think you should be overly concerned about the carbs/sugar count in milk...it's a good type of carb.

Thanks guys! I think I will just split it into 2 shakes. It will be easier to get through that was anyway since it's only about 5 oz per shake.

Sherry...new picture! I love it!!

have u tried mixing it with Light vanilla soy milk? It has much less fat/calories/carbs/sugar and still 6g of protein. Gives it alittle more creamy consistency. I havent seen anyone on here talk about light soymilk one way or another. but i had it 2 times now for my shakes, and i did good with it.

I actually have some soy milk in the frige. I alternate between fat free milk and soy, I like them both. It has a little less sugar that way.
