Unhappy Got some food stuck!....(might gross some out!)

OMG today I felt like I was DYING! I had some hashbrowns this morning, thinking it would be ok since potatoes is all I had to choose from the first few weeks. Well I chewed them up well and everything. Things were good and then it hit me like a bomb! I felt like I ate TOO much, I wanted to throw up so badly. I sat there at the toliet and NOTHING! I even tried to make it come up! All I was getting was extream mouth watering! UGH!
So I take a nap thinking it will be over when I get up, WRONG! I feel WORSE! So, I again pay a visit to the toliet, thank God, I finally got it up! It was SOOOO weird! First it was this foamy stuff then my food, in WHOLE! LOL well it wasn't whole but it wasn't digested at all! I hate throwing up but this time it didn't hurt, sting or even smell bad. This was very interesting to me!
Anyhow, I feel a WHOLE hell of a lot better! Thank God I got it out!
Okay I just wanted to vent a little, thanks!

Isnt it the worst!?!?!?!?!?!?
It happened to me for the first time about 1 1/2 months or so post-op.
I had no idea what was going on....and THE PAIN ! It does feel like a heart attack. The best thing to do is not fight the vomit. Its gonna happen no matter what you do. and like u said, its not reg puking...its just weird.
I went out last night to see my BFs band, had a piece of my his chicken and no sooner than i swallowed it, i realized i didnt chew it enough. went for a quick walk around the club with him and it wasnt helping. so off to the bathroom i went too...what i have been noticing lately when i vomit it is preceded by a phlemy mucus thing.....i know....ewwww prob all the saliva we swallow between eating and puking.......but OH WHAT A RELIEF afterwards......

Default Frothy, foamy, yuck!

I dump, but don't throw up. I have only thrown up with the stomach flu and it is frothy, foamy, yucky stuff. We don't have the same vomit after wls. It is so wierd. If I eat chilli beans, I get the frothy throw up thing that goes on, so I just avoid Chilli even though I love it.

I think because the food goes through the pouch so quickly, we just throw up frothy stuff now. Does anyone still throw up food?

Wink No necessarily stuck

Ok, well it might not have necessarily been stuck. I have had the same thing happen to me and I was told it was because the chicken (fried by the way) was too fatty. It just sat there and my mouth watered and I felt like S--- till I threw it up then felt lots better. Lots of foam and bile too. Oh and were the hash browns fried??? My guess is yes. I try now to avoid anything fried or with sugar in it had one episode with sugar as well. Guess it will keep me on track.

Yeah, it might have been that the hash browns had too much fat in them. High fat foods make me feel terrible!! Especially something like hashbrowns. I did a bite of some once and almost right away they made me feel ill. I used to love hashbrowns...not any more.

I've had the extreme mouth watering thing twice since surgery. The first time was my own fault, I ate 3 fried clams (dumb, dumb, dumb). About 1 minute later my face turned red, I felt "full", I kept burping over and over again (little burps) and my mouth watered like crazy. I kept control and didn't throw up (I never throw up), but I came close. I blamed the fat in the fried clams. The second time happened at a sushi restaurant. All I'd had was sashimi and 2 pieces of sushi with rice. Same thing happened but not quite as bad. Definitely not caused by fat in that case. I have no idea what is going on. Maybe in the second case something was stuck. Do "stuck" and "too much fat" feel the same?

For me, too much fat makes me feel really nauseated. I start the watery mouth thing. My heart pounds, I get hot and dizzy feeling. If I didn't chew well enough my chest hurts and I feel like something is stuck.

i just want to tell you that tomorrow you should try to stick to liquids only. just to relax your pouch again, sometimes when your vomit it swells the (stoma?hole thing) and will close shut so just in case my doc always says when you have an vomiting episode just do liquids that next day

I've gotten the "Oh, boy...what have I done" feeling 5-6 times since surgery. Prior to WLS it was very uncommon for me to vomit. But I have learned that if you start getting that "mouth drooling every where" symptom and your stomach/back is KILLING you...I found that if you bend at the waist over the commode...it helps to get the food out of the pouch.

Gross...but it really, really works!

Anytime I try to eat anything will the slightest bit of grease, it makes me sick. I have only tried 2-3 times, and we are talking a small piece of a chicken finger, even though I cooked them in the oven, they were previously fried at the manufacturing plant. I can not even eat those things. I had a BITE of an onion ring that my husband was eating... wow did I get sick!
