Wink I feel drained and rewarding yourself for reaching goals

Drained of blood. I went for a lab appt. this am for a fasting lab before I see my regular doc (as opposed to my GB doc) Wednesday. They actually took 9 tubes of blood! Don't you think that was rather excessive? I do. But I guess they need all that for tests ordered by your general practitioner and your GB doc to boot. Thus the excessive draining of blood.

On top of that, the orders said I was going to be transfused that morning. Hello? A transfusion? What...to replace the 9 tubes of blood? I think not. Bad orders. I set that record straight toot-sweet and launched myself out of that hospital before they could strap me down and administer the aforesaid transfusion.

You have to be careful when dealing with the medical profession. They're not always totally with it. The lab technician and and I got quite the chuckle over it but what if it had been something more serious and I got some sort of treatment I didn't need. Big bummer.

Just had to vent. I know...getting my panties in a twist over zip. It seems to be quite the winding road we all take after our surgery. Looking forward to the rainbow at its end...which for me will be a humongous shopping spree in the jr. department. Then the biggest reward (besides my great health)...a long awaited trip to Ireland.

Have a spectacular week everyone. Have I told you lately that I love you all?

hugs...the mums

PS...do any of you have specific rewards in mind for yourselves when you reach goal or close to it? In inquiring minds need to know.

oh fun, Ireland, take your camera and bring plenty of memory hehe.

Um,, my reward for when I get to my goal. Well other then a lot of sex let me see.

Yes, I want a tatoo on my shoulder, is a must, still don't know what exactly, no ones name that is for sure, maybe my kids names, I have to think about it, but, I have 130 lbs to loose before I have to worry about it.

Maybe I have them tatoo me with real bath wings on this saggin skin, then at least there is a justification forthem

Um er yeah...sex can be a good thing. At least it's free!

Tattoos make great rewards. When I turned fifty I had a small tree frog tat put on my ankle (because that was the skinniest part of me). That lead to another bigger tree frog on my left front leg. Then I got a frog with wings on my right forearm. Now I am in the process of finding a design of celtic knots within a heart which will be incorporated with the flying frog. Go figure.

Tattoos are addictive. Not for everyone but when I turned 50 I thought why not??

Yup Chiquita...go for it. Make a statement.

Thanks for the reply...hug...the mums

Well just look at you Deborah! That old scale is a moving on down! Isn't it nice to have something to look forward to when we reach our goals...not that we can't reward ourselves as we reach smaller goals!

Toony...shady, shady and more shady. Gotta keep on our toes when we deal with anything medical. Yup. Thank you so much for the nice things you said about the pics. I had been trying for weeks to upload them and nada. So Mike aka fisher1000 was kind enough to send me perfect instructions for resizing my pics. SUCCESS!! Such a great guy...he was even willing to talk me thru it over the phone...but due to my phone-a-phobia I took his written instructions. He told me I was now experiencing my "inner geek". So funny.

cheers and hug to one and all...the mums

I do not think I will do anything for myself once I reach goal, other than cry out of relief :P

I have thought about it a lot and all I can think of is the satisfaction of knowing I will be around for my kids to grow older and to enjoy life with my husband.

Wendy dear...this is how you spell relief: G.O.A.L.!!

Reaching goal is a reward all by itself. I just have to add a bit of extra cream on top. Green cream. Irish cream.

hug...the mums
