It is good to hear that you are happy with your choice even if at first you had regrets. I am waiting to have GB surgery in Sept. I had a band for three months but had to have it removed. I was bummed. I am looking forward to GB now and have some concerns can you share anything with me to make my journey a successful one?

Well Paula, All I can say is congrats on going with the gastric bypass. You will get some pretty good results out of it. Just stay positive about it. Everything will fall in place. A real good thing that I have noticed is that I feel very healthy. You will do great. Just do what your doctor and nutritionist asks. It will be hard for a while, but your body will adjust. You won’t even think about food like before. Food to me is only important, because I have to get my nutrients, and that’s it. I used to eat when bored, Or if I had problems. But now it’s a whole new ball game... Trust me, You will the happiest person after you get this done.

Thanks for the encouragement. It really helps to hear from others who have already had this procedure. I have a lot of questions and was wondering if you wouldn't mind answer a few?

1. How do you manage your new way of eating after GB? Almost everything has some sugar in it and will small amounts of sugar cause dumping syndrome?

2. How long where you off work?

3. Do you have to eat every few hours now?

4. How long after surgery before you can return to the gym?

5. Can you give me an idea of what I will be eating after surgery?

6. Have you experienced any negative side effects of GB?

7. What advice do you feel is important for someone getting GB?

I hope you are comfy with answering questions and if you are not Im ok with it . thanks in advance.
Hugs

Robert,
My goodness 85 pounds lost in three months is AWESOME to say the least. I bet you feel a lot better as you should. Keep up with whatever your doing because it is working for you. Just wondering do you workout?
It good that food no long consumes you after GB, because with Lapband you really do still feel hungry just not as hungry. I may do even better when I get GB.
I will follower you outstanding accomplishments as I prepare myself. Your a great inspiration to us all.
Hugs
