Your sugar free fluids (without caffeine) should be just fine...my tummy still doesn't like plain water, even at 2 years.

I was told because it was water based it's the same as drinking water. This was from a friend on mine that's a nurse. Not sure if it's 100% true, but it's all I drink (plain water every now & then), and I am currently pregnant and my OB says my water intake is fine.

As long as it is 5 calories or less per serving, decaffeinated, not carbonated it can be considered water. No problem there at all. Many of us had/have a hard time with plain water and strictly do the sf flavorings like Crystal Light, etc. Somehow the flavorings change the density of the water and it makes it easier for us to tolerate.

You are doing just fine.

Caffeine contributes to ulcerations and especially in the newly formed pouch, you're at a higher risk for ulcers anyway. Best not to tease the lion, you know what I mean?

I can not stand regular water!!!!! I always drink 20 oz of coffee in the morning(I know its Baaaaaad!) than nothing but SF kool aid and Crystal light all day. I get at least 64 oz's of water a day (not counting the coffee). My Dr. said if it is Sugar and Caffein free its considered water!

I'm so glad I love water! I'd rather drink that than the sugar free drinks. Put some lemon in...YUM! But, as others said....those drinks will still count as water.
