Default Ladies Question

Hi Ladies.

I had my surgery 4 weeks ago yesterday and my period started the day before surgery (june 8th)... I am ALWAYS 28 days to the day!! No ifs and or buts!! So my period should have started already and it hasnt.

You think its just because my body is freakin out from losing weight so fast?

Did anyone else have this experience?

Thanks.

Julia

Julia,
Yup, I'm late too. Don't know if it's the surgery, the subsequent infection, the low calories or what. I wouldn't worry about it. The cramps sort of stink though.

i can say that i've had the opposite problem completely.

My surgery was May 15.. and I got my period in the hospital and it hasn't left yet. I have constant moderate/heavy to spotting at all times. I should have invested in kotex with this surgery.

Anyone else have THIS issue? lol I should also mention i have PCOS and mild hyperplasia

My surgery totally screwed up my cycle for about 2 months. Since then though it's been completely regular and on schedule.

Hi Julia,
I'm doing ok except for this open incision in my side! I've had visiting nurses for TWO WEEKS, so sick of it. How is your weight loss going? Mine had gotten really slow. Last week and the week before I only lost 3 pounds (and had a 5 day stall) and this week looks like more of the same. I don't see how I can be losing so little. I'm NOT happy with 3 pounds per week. Grrrr.

Hi,

My surgeon mentioned this to me when i was in my consultaion. He said that after surgery your body is under stress as it thinks you've got a major injury so (as you probably know) when you have stress either an injury or in life it effects your cycles. They should return in time or stop in time.

Hope that helps a little.

I had my surg. on June 4th.. Got my period.. June 5th.. full on. It wasn't due until June 26th. hum!! They just said it was b/c of surgery your body will react with either getting it or holding it and to not be at all concerned over the next 3-4 months till it gets straight. I did get my period yesterday right on schedule from getting 2 weeks early.. so my clock just kinda changed. I started the pill again so we should be all groovy.. but they said it is a normal thing. Hormone levels change, trama and shock to the system.
