LauraLee,
I am a junior in nursing school i looked in my medical nursing dictionary and it says, your mucous membranes will be dry, absent tearing and salivation, body temp elevated, radip pulse, rapid respiration, irritable behavior, eyeballs sunken, flushed dry skin and a coated tongue. The best thing to do is drink plenty of water and maybe go to the pharmacy and get a electrolye drink or maybe gartorade. I would definitly call my doc to make sure everything is ok...Better safe then sorry.... Hope you are ok ....Kate

An easy test is to pinch the skin on the back of your hand. If you're hydrated, the skin should release back very quickly. If it takes more than a second, you're on your way to dehaydration. Another sign is if your lips feel dry or get chapped realy easily.
