SuzeQ,

We haven't seen any post from you since this thread got started. I will be praying for you. I am very worried now. I hope all is well and you are out taking care of yourself.

SuzeQ,

Just wondering how the pain was? Did you see your surgeon, doctor, anyone? Keep us posted and I hope the pain has gotten better for you.

Hi I am also new to this forum and I am praying for you as I too suffer from pain. I was wide awake at 7 am this morning with terrible pain. I have been to the ER because of the pain and I know what you mean about shallow breaths because of the pain! I had surgery on 4/4/05 and I am still taking pain medication. I had a little leak in the suture line that the surgeon decided it was not worth going back in for. He said it would heal on its own. I have had numerous upper GIs and CT scans and to this day I really don't know if it has closed or not...I don't think they know any better either. I am trying to build a routine where I take my meds and drink V8 as soon as I wake up as that is the only thing that I can keep down in the mornings (except today). My surgeon and his nurses have pretty much told me that they are trying to take me off the pain meds and I keep telling them that my pain is extreme and I cannot "just take tylenol." But anyway...I hope all is well with you. I still cannot get a straight answer as to what is the matter with my pain. Anyone else go through that sort of pain?

Girlfriend this doesnt sound right. Its normal to be uncomfoortablen but not in THAT much pain...... tell that Dr to fix your leak, it has been a moth and obviously you arent feeling better... souns like BS to me. I would call them and show up if it were me. No pain, its not right.

Arrow Bridgets right!!!

you know as much as you may not want to go back to your doctor, .... Bridget is right. This could be something more serious than a little leak, and besides any leak has to be painful, well I would think at least. Do this for you, if you don't no one else will, keep us updated and hope all is well. Take care and God Bless.

I am still waiting for my turn under the knife but I wouldnt want to be in that much pain for that long of time! Maybe its time to be a little more assertive with the doc.
Hope it gets better ...soon.
