Default Numbness...

This was weird, I woke up this morning, and had been sleeping on my right side. My entire right side from my breast to my hip was numb. It was like the sensation of when your foot falls asleep. I pinched hard and couldn't feel it at all. After I moved offf my side3 thje sensation gradually came back. I wonder if its a result of loose skin or someting else. I regularly wake up with numb hands and arms, before WLS also, but this side thing was new. Has anyone experienced this?

Jenna,

I've had that happen and I run for my chiropractor's office. I don't know what to suggest, but I can say my chiropractor is wonderful. My neck gets out of alignment a lot, and I get wicked headaches, and numbness. Good luck!

How is your B12. I was getting numbness in my right shoulder blade and it was due to a low level of B12

I take b12 once a week sublingually. I have my 6 month check up later this month and plan to ask about it then.

When I was low on Thiamine B1, I was numb in the fingers and my body would get numb as you explained Jenna. As I have been able to control my B1, it has improved.

Default Thiamine

I agree with Dale...make sure you are getting enough B1(Thiamine) as a deficiancy can lead to numbness and tingling (neuropathy). This happened to Christina and she has permanent, although mild, nerve damage.

the B12 deficiency also causes numbness. I was taking the weekly lingual and it wasn't enough.

Recurring numbness in your hands and lower arms could be carpal tunnel. It could be that during the night your hands and arms are assuming a "scrunched up position" while you sleep. Wearing a brace at night to keep your wrist straight may help that.

The numbness on your side...was that a one time thing? Or is it continuous?

Thgis was the 2nd time I had the side numbness. I have lost 100 lbs and my pannus and loose skin is pulling alot when I lay on my side, I have to adjust sometimes. I wonder if that has anything to do with it? I'll ask Kelly what she thinks when I have my 6 m checkup.

Thanks for all of the replies, I'll let you know when I figure this out.
