Has the loss of major weight affected your sexual organs? Have your labia and clitoris withered away, downsized noticeably? If your exterior body skin has dried visibly, has your inner skin become "parched" too? (Inside your mouth as well as genital area?).
Has your menstruation flow changed? Lessened, increased, resurfaced? Has the extended effect of the surgery hastened the onset of your menopause? Or with losing the weight, brought back hot flushes?
Has the comfort of intercourse changed?
Have you any tips&tricks?
Met up with my pals and ended up with the above serious female discussion!One of my friends, who has lost 70 pounds through Weight Watchers, has noticed some of the above as of 40 pounds down. She is 38 years old.
Another, after a loss of 30 pounds found her menstrual cycle returned to "normal" after having been erratic for about 10 years - she is even trying for a baby!
The other two found the onset of menopause was precipitated (aged 49 and 53) in intensity and that they and genitalia just clammed shut due to dryness and downsizing!
Yikes, whatever next?!

Wow, Vim.. you've asked some of the questions I've wondered recently. Given the loss of 87lbs since I started this journey.. I have noticed a LOT of changes in our sex life and some I'm not too thrilled about..

Guess if you're willing to discuss this, so am I.. lol... This may fall under the TMI, for some, though.......

One of our favorite positions has become less of a fav for me since the weight loss, due to the lack of "cushioning" between us... now, sometimes when we're intimate, he'll actually hit my cervix and it hurts.. that never happened before the weight loss.. and you want to talk about ice cold water in the face.. OUCH. It doesn't seem to affect him, or his enthusiasm but once that happens, I am pretty much done for.

And then there is the saggy, baggy breast problem, which bothers me far more than it seems to bother him... he's just happy they're naked and available, LOL.

We *do* like the fact that with less belly between us, makes the 'Loving" part of lovemaking a closer reality than previously...before our bellies would keep us apart a bit more than we'd like..

Since I've had a hysterectomy (utererus only- kept cervix & ovaries).. I can't say I've noticed much of a difference in regards to my own physical changes... I do suffer from a bit of PMS.. that hasn't changed, dryness is absolutely NOT a factor as of yet.. The only thing I have noticed is that I am a bit more sensitive to the touch, and heaven forbid his nails aren't trimmed and filed.. that seems to be more of a problem since the weight loss.. I thought that was just me being overly sensitive but maybe that is a bit more universal?

You know what ... I've found the exact opposite with myself.

My genitals haven't downsized, but the fat all around them sure has. You remember that old joke ... 'How do you fuck a fat chick?' ... 'You roll her in flour and look for the wet spot' ... well, I'm no longer that girl since I've gone from 300 to 220. I'm finding I have 'sex on the brain' constantly! And since I no longer have to dig for burried treasure ... it's so much easier and enjoyable. When I hit 'goal' I'm even planning on having my clit pierced to celebrate!!
Okay, I'm getting off track here ... What I'm saying is, sex has gone from an intimidating shy experience for me, to a One Hellova Good Time! And the more I lose, the better it gets

I winced when I read that. I'm covered in tattoos but the only thing I can bear to have pierced is my ears.

As to the original question, I haven't noticed much about my periods because I'm on birth control. The sex, well when we have time, I would say is better. It's less weight on him, and less to work around. And he seems to be more grabby too when we're not naked. I haven't noticed any kind of change with the vajayjay, though like Julie said, there's less leg to have to go through.

Doesn't the piercing sound like fun?! When I was 18 I had my tongue pierced ... and THAT was a big deal. This oughta be a piece of cake!

Anyway ... that's just the kind of girl I am ... when I open my big mouth, I just lay it all out there!

My period started Sunday and I have had the absolutely worst menstrual cramps I can remember since I was 17 (before I started on the pill). I almost reached for hyrdrocodone this week to survive. I tried a heating pad and liquid tylenol. I felt like the biggest baby, but I could barely get out of the fetal position.

It's on my list of things to ask the doctor about.

I did a search on Monday and found that there were similar posts a while back about the cramping, so I figured it just went with the territory.

Arg!

Sex ... umm... have to get back with ya on that one. :::blush:::

Clit piercing? Yikes! Julie, you *are* the woman! I don't imagine you can get that done at the mall, eh? Ha!

Okay, so how about from the men's point of view. I can say that nothing has dried and shriveled up, actually quite the opposite. My wife likes to remind me that she read that for every 30 pounds of weight loss, a man regains one inch of size to the penis, as the fat around the genitals reduces. I think based on my highest weight, I must have been microscopic in size at one point

Things are definitely, looking up.

Laughing! I don't think so!

But there are a million tattoo/body piercing places around here. I did some research online last week and found a perfect sounding place to have it done at. It's only body piercing and it's owned and run by a woman, and her Master Piercer is also a woman. I called her and she told me they specialize in female genital piercing. I asked tons of questions over the phone and she was very informative. She suggested I come in for a consultation, where we can go over many styles of piercings and pick out the jewelry. I told her that I'm not ready to have it done now, but hopefully soon. I explained to her how it's going to be a huge present to myself and she thought that was really cool.
Thank god I don't have to go to some nasty biker place in a back alley to have it done!
