Ok, so I had my surgery on June 4th. I still am sore on my left side. Its not even where my insicions are but in between. It even feels weird to the touch. Like a little numb or something. It seems like it got better than started hurting worse a few days later. My husband says its because they had to cut through fat and all that and I will probaly be sore for a while longer. I can get around good and can get up good from sitting. When I lay down it hurts for a minute too. I guess I am still just healing and it will take time. But I wonder how long til pain is totally gone?

I was pretty sore on the left side for about 6 weeks (I had an umbilical hernia repair done at the same time as the lap RNY).

I believe I'm right in saying that's where the staple machine goes in so it's pretty normal to have more discomfort on that side. Those surgeons have to manipulate those big instruments around in a confined space in order to get done what they need to.

By 8 weeks I still felt the odd twinge if I moved ackwardly but was very much back to normal
