Default Oh Lovely Stricture..

*sighs* found the problem to my not being able to eat, dizzyness and overall notfeelinggoodness.

I was almost completely sealed off from the bottom of my pouch to the new opening of the small intestine. Landed me back in the hospital for 3 days.. but i'm home and EATING and feeling so much better.

Listen to your body. Listen to your family and loved ones. Some things that don't seem "normal" should be checked out right away

Crie, Thank goodness you went to the doctor. Was this another surgery you had to go thru? What causes that to happen? Take care of yourself and good luck with the weight loss. Looks like you are doing great with that. Still waiting for my date for surgery.........

Chris, I'm glad they found out what was going on and that you are home and doing better. Also thank you for the reiforcing words. It is important to get things checked out when something doesn't seem quite right. That is what we are paying our doctor's for. That is their job. We should never hesitate in calling the doctor and 'bothering' them. Things really can go from bad to worse fairly quickly.

some of them remembered me...I had a lot of people I didnt know, people I'd never seen. But they were very nice. I had a smaller room but it was nice and private.

Do you feel like you started over on your diet progression after the fix?

actually... not really. I've found that i'm able to eat so many more things now than I used to. When I'd spoken with the dietitian the week before the hospital, she said really at 5 weeks your stomach can handle most things. she said it was up to me to listen to my body and try new things. my body would tell me what i can and cannot tolerate.

Yesterday when out shopping with my mom and sister, we stopped off at Boston Market for lunch. I got a turkey dinner with gravy and mashed potatoes and green beans. Giiiiirrrrllll.. MMMMM. I chew chew and chew some more until its practically just dissolved into my mouth before I swallow. I still can only eat in small amounts (I've eaten off the turkey plate 3 times now and still have about 2 more servings left on it). I'm just trying to concentrate on the protein and treating with a small bite or 2 of the veggies or fruits which tend to cleanse the palate and help rid of the yucky ketosis tongue/taste/breath more than the protein does.

Do you have your 1 month follow-up this week? I see him tomorrow afternoon and hope for a good reporting all in all
