Question Week 3 Dreaded Stall

I knew it was coming, but it doesn't make it any easier!! Can anyone offer any of their past experiences about how long this stall may last. I am exactly 4 weeks out today and have been hovering within the same two pounds for the past 6 days.

I took all of the great advice given to others in this situation and compared some photos, the 1st was taken the week before surgery and the 2nd was taken a couple of days ago. I can see a difference and I feel great.

I'm just trying to figure out how long I should stay away from the scale

It usually lasts a couple of weeks. Make yourself happy, take your measurements and you'll see the inches dropping while you stall. It's all just a re-adjustment from the surgery.

My stall lasted a good 10days-2 weeks but of course everyone is different. I stayed the same, then I actually went up 2 lbs and was furious. How the heck can you gain weight and eat so little. Then I went down 2. Then stayed the same. Anyway, I put the dang scale away for 8 days and when I jumped back on......down 5 more lbs. All will be fine. I promise!

My whole first year I would lose about 2.5-5 lbs each for 2 weeks, nothing the 3rd week and then lose again on week 4. Just a quirk of my body but I ended up loosing 100lbs in like 10 months so I learned to live with it.

I am only at week 3, but my great mentor MiladyB said to stay away from the scale and just take measurements, photos each month, watch you clothes get looser, and to stay away from the scale. She said that she didn't buy one until 1 yr out, so try to put the scale away and just watch your body change.

Oh, I forgot to tell you how wonderful you look!!! Awesome girl...
Hugz,
Tina..
Ps- PM me if you would like to talk...

Default Thanks!

Thanks everyone! I agree the scale needs to go.

I'm going to keep my eye on the prize and continue with the photos and measurements.

I'm five months out on the 29th.. my pattern is annoying as heck, but I'll lose for a couple weeks, then stall for five weeks or so.. lose for a couple again, stall five weeks..

So far, it's been fairly regular and pretty ding-dang annoying if I look at it like that.. but then I look at how far I've come and how much better I feel and then I'm good (for the most part..).. I do worry about just how heavy I'll still be in October, as I would really like to be significantly thinner by the time my wedding rolls around.. but I figure- he was gonna marry me at 317 so he'll be happy regardless of what I weigh

I'm with Beth - ditch the scales.

I'm just about 9 months out and haven't had any scales.

Follow the programme and the weight will come off.
