Default Wii Fit and I love it

I have not been able to work out the last few months. So I got a wii for my kids and the wii fit for me. I LOVE it ....it isn't as good as a hard workout, but it is great for beginners and better than nothing. I was boxing last night for 1/2 hour and my arms are killing me today.

Any other wii people and have any good suggestions for games that burn a few calories??

I LOVE wii fit!! Its just so addicting.

I don't know if you have purchased the Wii Sports game...but its pretty good. You use the console to mimic the motions in the actual sports (bowling, tennis, baseball, golf, etc). So, even though the game is fake, there still is some type of physical exertion.

Dyann,

You said you got the Wii Fit? Have you used the disc that came with it yet? (I'm just assuming the boxing you did was on the Wii Sports disc since the Rhythm Boxing on Wii Fit takes a little while to unlock).

On the Wii Fit disc I found quite a few challenging items, though keep in mind that you will have to unlock things by doing the 'starter' items on the menus.

I could say which things I find challenging but I'm willing to bet that our level of fitness is quite different since I'm still pre-op! I will say though, be sure to unlock Free Step before giving up on the Step exercises completely. It has an adjustable tempo and also allows you to watch TV while you're doing it.

I have the sports games, wii fit and then with the wii play the games that go with that but I haven't tried them yet.

I logged 1:30 on it today and I know the novelty will wear off, but it better then doing some of the other things I do to pass time. At least I am moving and not sitting.

As mild as the stuff is, over time you feel it.

I don't know if these games are rented at blockbuster as I haven't been to one in forever.

I think I want to have a wii party with couples. It would be a hoot.

The hula hoop is a riot. When doing the step aerobics or dance thing do you wear sneakers?? Or are you always barefoot??

I choose to do Wii fit barefoot, only because I feel like sneakers would dirty up the board. But I've seen friends use shoes...so you're safe to do whatever is most comfortable for you.

I really like the step aerobics. The advanced level with the kicks and side twists make it more fun! But if I ever get off rhythm, my score is shot!

I made a 604 (new personal best) on Advanced Step last night! My brother comes over about once a week to bust my high scores and I'm betting this one will give him a challenge.

I logged in my 4 and 6 year olds in the fit. They love the balance games especially the marble table and the ski jumps. My older one needs to learn a little more body control so I wonder if it will actually help. They love the bank and I give them a penny for each minute they log.
