Angry I just plain can not puke

Sorry about the title, but it's true.
I only once did it, and it was a complete miracle.. You might say, that is good, you don't puke right? wrong

There has been some times I feel so sick I feel I am going to throw up, and It hurts and it feels like I need to, and I get the nauscea, and all the attempts to do so, bring nothing!!, nothing comes up, just heave and sometimes foam comes up, but I so much need relief during this times and I get nothing.

When I went on my trip, I got like that once, in the hotel that night, and I could not get relief, and I ended up burning up a great big fever of the nausea and all that, and finally went to bed, to toss and turn and moan until I went to sleep, when I woked up I was fine.

What you do when you feel like this and it just don't happen? By then my pouch was empty I feel, but tried drinking some water to rinse it out and get the feeling moving out and don't help

I do not go like this every day, or even every week, but I have been there 4 or 5 times since my surgery and It's just plain misserable

Default hmmm...

As I am still battling the psychological aspect of being obese, I have eaten too fast a few times and got the same feeling you are talking about. However, I feel like I need to burp as well. When I keep making myself try to burp, the food comes out. Also, I have to stand up in front of the toilet instead of kneeling/sitting. Otherwise, nothing comes up. (TMI, I know)

I have done this 3 times now and it has always been from eating too fast (and thus eating too much even though I chew everything to a pulp). I always feel so mad at myself and guilty that I am not using my pouch right. I really need to get a therapist so I can keep on top of this mentally.

Maybe just try to slow down and listen to your body - if we do this we will stop eating before we get to the pukeing point. I know this is what I try to keep in my mind while I am eating. I find it hard to concentrate on eating correctly instead of just stuffing food down my throat, but it's getting better.

I hope this helps!

Default Damn those Triscuit low-fatcrackers!

Chiquita~

I just experienced this same thing tonight! Awful!!! Doesn't happen often...but I too can not make myself puke (couldn't pre-op either)...I did puke once time post op and it was such a relief.

And the one time I did get sick I had to stand by the toilet bent at the waist pretty much like drummer girl mentioned.

Tam thats funny you say that .. cause when I get this feeling if I take a drink of water ... I am for sure gonna puke.. but I have to stand by the toliet.. not kneel o r crouch. I get this way sometimes but I can finally puke.... mabe I eat to fast.. I just try and focus.. it has kind of made shy to eat in public at all just in case... I finally started eating a few more solids this weekend .. some tomato soup.. and some bean and bacan suop.. ( i only ate the beans).. about 3 OZ of both... thats alot for me ...
