Pain in lower left side?
For the last couple of hours, I've had a small, nagging pain. It's on my left side, low down. I don't have any incisions there or anything. Should I be concerned about this?

I don't know what it is either, but I had a similar experience around 9:30 (PT). Sympathy pangs?
Lower left side I know can be ovarian, a little higher up I think is the large intestine. Docs, nurses, med folk- ideas?

Being that you are so fresh post op, it could be nothing, it could be something. Only time will tell. If it continues or worsens you know the drill...call the MD. BTW are you pooping??

I didn't think about my ovaries. I've had problems with a large ovarian cyst in the past, so maybe that's what causing the twinges. With everything so new with the surgery, I suppose I'm a bit paranoid.

Lol, at the very direct pooping question. Yep, I've had the diarrhea since a couple of days after surgery.

Sherry,
I know what you mean about being parinoid! lol Every little pain I had, I thought it was something with my surgery. I am not sure about the pain you had, but if you think it is something call the on call dr. at Magee. I called once and they were so helpful!

Thanks Renee. The pain is all gone now...now it's been replaced with a pain right below my right ta-ta. I'm starting to think most of these aches & pains are being caused by me sitting around so much.
How do you call the on-call doc at Magee? Is it linked through the main #, or is it a different #? I'm sure I was probably told about this before, but my brain is mush.

Sorry, honey! But remember, you are fresh out of surgery, so it could be nothing but gas.

I had a lot of pain in my lower-left tummy for the week after surgery, but I had 5 incisions in that area. My doc said that 90% of the work was done down there, so I just figured I was healing. It finally went away, but I was sure I was going to die for a while. I haven't had any pain in more than 3 weeks.
Just take it easy. Check your temp and listen to your body. The more you move, the more it will hurt, but the better you will feel. Make sure you are walking, even if it's only to the bathroom! You'll do great!
