Default I have a confession..well 2

I know this is going to be so bad to tell you all but I'm 4 months post-op and I have hardly done any exercise. I know your gasping but it wasn't because I didn't want to or was lazy. Some of you know I had a few complications ect... well I still have on my cast from breaking my joint in my foot so I can't really do cardio. I was on crutches for 3 weeks. I had numbness in my legs for 3 months. So as you can see it wasn't because I didn't want to I had so many problems. Well i feel awful. My current weigh is 154 I believe(can't weigh accurately with a cast on your foot ) but I feel so lazy like I want to exercise and I have more energy. I go to the podiatrist on May 5th and hopefully after taking of my cast and x-raying I will be good to go.

Second, I haven't been taking any of my vitamins. I can't keep them down. I maybe took them 2 times in 4 months. I recently bought a pill crusher and will start taking them religiously with my meals but I'm sure someone knows the answer to this next question. Could this also be causing me to lose more hair? I'm sure yes because I'm not getting all my nutrients. I mean I loose handfuls of hair, good thing I had a lot to start of with.

Ahh glad I got that off my chest. Let the scolding begin..just kidding I love you all and appreciate your comments.

Smile Hey Nicole

Thanks for your confession, prepare for the heat!

You have to take those vitamins sweetie by any means necessary. that could explain the numbness you are having. Vitamin deficiency is the leading cause of pot operative complications. It can lead to nuerological problems, right down to blindness. It is VERY serious, do what you can.

Exercise: I am about 15 months out now and I have probably exrcise viguorsly 5 days at most. Dont worry about it, do what you can, when you can. I recently took an interest in learning to surf so I hope that can motivate my butt to do more. I also recently joined a gym, that I have visited once.... Im a work in progress in that department. I take the stairs and park farther away in parking lots, but thats about it at this point. I got to goal in 7 months and Im in great health. I am in no way advocating NO EXERCISE but I just wanted to let ya know I didnt, and I lived through it. I do however want my heart in the best physical condition, which is why i am focusing on getting more exercise... gotta keep the blood pumping!

Good luck, take your vitamins!

Default 2 hail marys and one act of contrition for you!!!

Confession is good for the soul! Take your vitamins! Yes, that could be why you are losing some hair. People who take the vitamins sometimes lose hair. I know how you feel on the exercise thing. I work in a factory 8 hours of standing and lifting etc. and I go to school at least 2 hours out of the day. With kids and homework and housework and lack of sleep-I really don't do what I should be doing. With a cast there isn't a whole lot you can do. Maybe try getting a work out tape and just do the upper body portion for now? Just an idea!

Try taking VitaSmart multi vitamins. I purchased them at KMart and they are tiny. I still have the woman's one a days that I can't take.

Thank you all so much. I'm also taking the women one a day and they are huge so I cut them into like 16 pieces, what a pain. I will definately look into those vitamins you recommended kat thank you.

Lizardqueen don't under estimate your exercising. You work in a factory lifting and standing for 8 hours, I'm sure you burn tons of calories. I have a sit down job so I really feel lazy. At least if I was getting some motivation I would be feeling a little better.

It's amazing what some people say after you lose weigh. I was at work yesterday and I was really cold because I work at the front desk at the hospital so the door is always opening. So I put on the heater and a co-worker of mine said "well yea your cold all the time because you don't have as much fat." Was that suppose to be a compliment or something along that lines. Some people have no tact I guess. Over all I have been getting such positive feedback on my weight lose and I'm so happy so I guess thats all that matters.

Thank you again for your comments and not bombarding me with the full force of your wrath...lol
