Default So Confused !!!!!!

hey
i need a little advice
i am getting food frustrated. I am 10 days post op from lap gastric bypass.
i lost 11 lbs my first week WOOO HOO lol
i was started on blended cream soups, yogurt etc i am able to tolerate them well. But my frustration is in the amount i have to take in, in a day.
According to my Dr and dietician, i am supposed to eat every 3 hours making sure to take in 63 grams of protien (including protien shakes of course lol)
and 64 oz of fluids. Now....i am so grateful to have stuff to eat other than clear broth.....lol but this is ridiculous. It is stressed to us that we should stop before we get too full, but in order to intake all of what i am supposed to, i am feeling full all day!?!?!?! I am NOT looking to stretch my pouch out already, but i want to follow my Drs orders, but i am not able to keep up with all the protien/meal/liquid requirements of the day. What do i do???????
It is driving me crazy H E L P M E
xoxoxo
Michele

what about that weight control oatmeal? i used to live on that the first few weeks. My suggestion too is to drink an extra protein shake. that way your getting protein in and fluids too. Dont stress if your not hungry but instead do the skakes

Oh and i think you look like Mariah Carey

Girl you do look like Mariah Carey!!! I would have never came up with it on my own, but now that Deb said it I totally see it. Eat and do what you can it will get easier.

Ok... take a breath and relax first of all. Getting stressed will make your pouch tighten up even more and make everything harder.

2nd. Protein shakes count as fluids as early out as you are. So that 6-8oz shake counts double. Milk also counts as both.

3rd. You are still REALLY early out and no one expects you to make full liquids OR protein. Just do the best you can.

4th. Eat what protein you can "solid" (soft/puree) following your guildlines. Shakes etc. just sip as much as you can mixing in regular water/crystal light/other calorie free fluid when you get totally sick of protein shakes.
